How do I set the machine to check fake notes?
I think the machine is great but when I try and start checking fake notes it doesn’t tell me, unless I’m doing something wrong. What am I doing wrong?

'Does what it says'
This product, is 'fit for purpose'. It is used in my partner's business. Thank you. The only negative thing is the price. I do think it is expensive for such a small gadget.

A money saver
A great product at a great price. I’ve seen them for double the money outside amazon. A great on counter top deterrent for would be scammers. Infinitely better than the old light only checkers it’s replaced. Great piece of mind and simple for staff to use. Our town was recently flooded with duds pre Christmas. We had none taken in and 3 refusals. Paid for itself that day alone

European plug, temperamental and does NOT do Scottish notes.
Only the 2 pin European attachment would connect to the adapter. It has no settings for Scottish notes, as advertised. Creased notes will often cause an error message - sadly, very disappointing. Safescan were slow to respond and unhelpful.

Slightly annoying but does it’s job.
Annoying when it’s spits it out, which happens a lot especially the new Polymer notes when they have been folded.

Does what it says, eventually. Not reliable enough to use at point of sale
The machine does detect fakes in Scottish and Northern Irish Bank notes after an update to the software. You do the software update yourself and it is fairly easy. The machine, though, is unusable at the point of sale as it gives to many errors when genuine notes are given.
