Great guitar
This guitar is actually great. If you need a travel axe this thing is perfect. It’s very portable and pretty comfortable to play in a seat, like on a couch. The neck feels very good, and the sound from the pickups is very fair considering the price. It came pretty much ready to play out of the box, so I appreciate that I was able to test it right away. Then I did my full setup: new strings (I use 9’s, the guitar came setup with 10’s); conditioned the fretboard; and lowered the action (the string height from factory setup was probably fine for most people, but I prefer a lower action, and since my strings a little lighter as well, i can get a little lower on the height, so this was mostly a matter of preference). No truss adjustment was necessary. I get no buzzing on the fretboard at all (string 6 is roughly .05-.06” high, string 1 about .04-.05 high). The whole thing feels pretty sturdy and rugged. The little fold-out kick-stand leg rest thingy feels pretty sturdy also, and is very useful. String change was probably the easiest I’ve ever done on a guitar- The bridge system is so smartly designed. Overall, I’m impressed and very happy with this guitar. I look forward to it being my travel companion. Make sure when you order strings, they’re “double ball” or designed for the Steinberger system.

Very very happy with purchase!
Gave it to gifted 11yr old grandson & he absolutely loves it! Wants to play it constantly, and loves all the special things it can do! He has 2 or 3 other guitars, so this is a nice size to travel with. It’s all he asked for Christmas. He said this was his best Christmas ever! We’re all happy!

An awesome guitar!
I had purchased Spirit basses back in the good old Musicyo days, and I was very pleased with them. I had to sell them about 4 years ago, and missed them, so I purchased an XT2DB bass, since I had heard many stories from people who have spent a lot of time waiting for these instruments to be available. Since I already had one of these basses I already knew what I was getting, so I was very pleased with it. That fact, though, made me think that the GT guitar might go also the "way of the dodo", so decided to make the effort and have one of these, even if my specialty is the bass. Anyway, I have to say I am very pleased with this guitar, it is very well made and also it is (and will be) a very unique and special thing, so I keep to hold on to these instruments and not selling them again. This GT Pro has two humbuckers and a single coil, tone and volume controls, and a 5 way toggle switch, just as any guitar with more than one pick up. Additional things include the Rtrem, easy to adjust and with a very useful fine adjusting knob for compensating any slight de-tuning that might occur when you unlock the bridge. A great sustain for its size, great building quality, and for me the most interesting thing: for in the past I have had electric guitars, non expensive ones, but never felt really motivated to learn, and ended selling them after a little time. This has not happened with this one, I feel excited just to look at it, and the most important part is that I feel motivated to learn to play it every single time I hold it. That has never happened before, so I am very happy. Maybe this guitar has something special, so go ahead and have one of these before they disappear. You can never know with Gibson and what they will do with the Spirit branch, but I can tell you I haven't had a single spirit line instrument that wasn't impressive and one of the greatest bangs for the buck I could find. Hope Gibson could see what a great product these guitars are, but guess they rather milk everyone with expensive Les Pauls and SG's. Last, gorgeous color, white looks awesome and surely turns heads, such as one of my friends, who is happy with his Ibanez, but when he looked at my Spirit and played it suggested he would propose a trade, which is not going to happen, LOL. Great instrument and no-hassle selling experience from Music 123. GO AHEAD, get one before they disappear forever.

Decent travel guitar
The guitar is the ideal size for a travel electric guitar. It doesn't play as well as its full size counter part, but it works well. It's lightweight and very playable. The ability to lock the bridge or leave it floating is a nice touch. I never use a whammy bar, so it stays locked. Sound-wise, it is pretty solid. I bought this to use with a travel amp and it plays well with a Spark GO. Through my normal set up, it sounds like what you'd expect from a $400 instrument. Solid, but not groundbreaking. Not as crisp as my Jackson or Epiphone but that is expected. Not bad by any means. For the size and price, it sits pretty high on sound quality. Also, it's 24 frets. A couple of annoyances. Since the body is so small, the knobs get in the way of my picking hand. I just removed the knob and it is much better. Also, the pickups are fairly high under the strings and tightly packed. This doesn't leave a ton of space to pick fluently. Sometimes the pick can strike the pickup underneath. Overall, for the price, it's not bad at all.

Absolutely love this guitar and wish i'd bought one years ago.Wish i had enough spare cash for another one as i like it so much i'd by another in a heart beat as a spare, the action was a bit high for my liking but have lowered it and it plays great and once tuned holds its tune really well in fact id say more stable than a lot of strats I've owned over the years. The neck feels very comfortable to play and i have small hands and am really fussy with necks but this seems to be a cross between a les paul and strat with strat frets so for me a perfect match. I think i read a comment from someone on here who mentioned that the neck would suit those with large hands i don't agree as i feel it would suit everyone pretty much. I have not played with the trem yet as I've never really been into the dive bombs and stuff, never really bothered with them on my strats either just occasionally so can't comment on if it stays in tune if your using that but really comfortable to play and you can just play it as you would any other full size guitar the stand makes the guitar feel really well balanced on your leg while practicing. The pick ups seem fine to me but i'm only an indoor tinkerer so never play really loud anyway, others might want to change them if they're going to gig with it but they're fine for indoors imho. Summing up i really like this little guitar and if your reading this hesitating to buy one, just do it, you won't regret it its really sturdy and well made. Love it!!

Got what I ordered and delivered a day early. -1 star as it was very poorly set up. Also I need to do some work to fret ends to make it play that bit better. I think the factory making these didn't take too much time in the design process as the nut end didn't fit the shape of the neck! However I've changed this so not a big issue for me.
