Nibbles the Book Monster: 1 (Nibbles, 1) Paperback – 6 April 2017

This book was recommended to us and I am so glad I've purchased it. It's fun and kids love the little holes Nibbles nibbled. We read it three times in a row so it's safe to say it's a.new favourite!

I bought this story after borrowing it from my local library, and the littlies loved it so much that I had to buy us a copy (in Dec). I think I've read it (upon their request) at least 3 times a day ever since! Nibbles loves to nibble books and munches his way through classic fairy tales, causing havoc and upsetting the likes of Little Red, the Giant (from Jack and the Beanstalk) and Goldilocks too. The children find this story completely hilarious and are yet to tire of it... they've taken to searching for Nibbles in other books, 'reading' it to themselves, (the rhyming pattern and memorable speech bubbles make it a good one for their own language development), writing signs to warn Nibbles away, and sharing it with ANYONE who visits! I couldn't recommend this book highly enough!!!

This tells the story of how a book monster manages to gnaw his way through Goldilocks and the Three bears, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk. His nibbling gives these stories an interesting twist.

My 3 year old loved this book. It's full of adventure as well as funny and very unique. This and nibbles the dinosaur guide are often found over her face as she has passed out at bedtime. Was worried the paperback edition wouldn't be strong enough but great quality paper and had so far withstood a lot of abuse from her chubby little hands.

Nibbles loves to chew on everything, but most of all on... books!And that's how we ends up eating his way into (and out of) several fairy tales. To the characters' chagrin. Children will enjoy recognising their favourites and seeing the plots/scenes altered by Nibbles as he eats his way around the famous traditional stories.This is a very 'busy' book. My three year old did enjoy listen, but I certainly found it hard to find the next bit to read, and there are lots of extras for older kids and adults who can enjoy the extra detail in Yarlett's illustrations that will just be too much for a preschooler.Nibbles is cute, he's not a scary monster. I did find this moved at too fast a pace for my listener, and that it would go down better with a school nursery/Reception class, or just a slightly older child at bedtime.Ideally for ages 4-7.

My little boy (4) loves this book. We've read it so many times that sometimes I have to hide for a day or so so I can have a break!!Lovely book. Great quality paper. Would highly recommend.We also have the Nibbles dinosaur book and the Nibbles counting board book.

My 4 year old girl absolutely loves it. And so do we! Very interactive and well thought out.Unfortunately she knows most of the words already.
