nCampUniversal Portable Outdoor Camping Elevated Prep Cutting Board Surface for Hiking and Backpacking

This thing was a savior on a recent camping trip when no one else had remembered to pack their cutting board. I think the nCamp prep surface became more of a necessity than our cast iron pan. The surface is super lightweight and easily fits inside, or the outside of my hiking backpack. I highly recommend for backpacking if you know you'll be eating your meals on the ground. The elevated surface keeps critters from running across your sandwich and light winds from blowing dirt all in your food. Fits together with nCamp's wood burning stove!

This little prep table has been popping up all over my searches, social media, you name it. Not sure why but I imagine I clicked on it at some point. I really dig the design, it looks practical and portable but for 30 dollars, it definitely is not. Maybe 10 dollars, but I am thinking 5 dollars is just about right. It probably takes 2 dollars to make. For starters, its a very small piece of bamboo. Tiny in fact. The measurements in the specs tell you but I failed to put that into perspective. The advertisements and pictures make it look very usable while camping or at a picnic, but it may frustrate you to even make a sandwich on it. Fold out brackets are thin and flimsy. The rivets that hold the bracket/legs to the bamboo are also not consistent either. Some are flush, some are raised a bit. Imagine trying to fillet a fish on it, get fish oil in the rivet holes, and carry that smell throughout your entire backpack adventure? No thanks. Good concept, bad execution. It really is just too darn small to do anything with. Save your money. Just get the biggest cutting board for your pack and put it on a rock. Amazon sells a ton of them for under 20 bucks.

It is very nice if you have the nCamp stove already to pair up with. I wish the surface was a bit bigger but I understand it is to compensate the weight. Overall, I am pretty happy with it.

We used to use a limp plastic cutting board that always felt cheap and gross. I've never been happier to upgrade to this unique prep surface/cutting board! I love that its flat, but holds its shape, is easy to clean and such great quality. My outdoor kitchen has a nicer cutting board then my indoor kitchen! :) Hope you snag one for yourself.

This is the one angle they neglect to show you. Explain how those won’t cut the bag it comes with......yes. I know now that you are supposed to “nestle” it with the separately sold nStove....I might have gone a different way had I known this. It’s a great idea and of course it will be great to use. Will have to pack it carefully though....

I love how light and portable this thing is. I've used it as a cutting board a number of times and just as a small table to aid with cooking as well. It really comes in handy when trying to cook dinner without having to carry a full table.

I got this to use on the RV table. Really, really small. If I was Camping I could find a rock as big in the forest to cut on no extra space in my backpack taken up, or even the minuscule weight it is. Way too expensive for item.

Fits well with the stove, can be used as cutting board and charcuterie board. Light and comes with case so it’s easy to store away.
