Great travel rack
I bought this to fit on our 2019 Outlander and it was amazing for our long family trip. It held up well with luggage for a family of 7. Survived the trip from NE Ohio to Orange Beach, Alabama and back with no issues.A few things to note:The rack comes in 4 pieces that fit together. The tubes are flared on one side so they slide into the opposing tubes and everything screws together with some smaller button head sheet metal screws. Some of the tubes were bent a little and took some persuasion with a rubber mallet to fit into place. The thumb nuts that tighten down the hold down brackets kind of jam on the threaded U Bolts and I found it easier to install the thumb nuts facing down.Lastly, even with the wind faring slant at the front there is quite a bit of noise when empty and it does impact your gas milage. I would recommend only keeping it installed when in use.The netting held down our luggage just fine and I used the ratchet straps as an extra level of security. To keep things dry I bought a tarp and laid it inside the basket, put our luggage in, folded the tarp across the top of the luggage, installed the netting and then the straps. Everything stayed exactly where I wanted it to. On our trip I say many people traveling with the hard top carriers and soft top carriers. This is by far the better option of you have a lot of things to keep tied down.

I finally have a massive rack!
Very sturdy, installation was simple, can easily withstand whatever you throw at it.This rack was an upgrade to a small 4'x4' on my Rav4 that was still pretty robust. Middle section of rack does hang a little lower however thats just esthetics, functionality wise the middle the front or end are firm and don't sway. The only con for me is the screws around the perimeter stick out and could snag your cargo when loading. Could possibly upgrade it to pan head screws. Secondly, which is totally my fault, make sure to inspect the hardware for the clamps. Tighten after every load as they are small for the rack so they could loosen as mine did, Safety first!Ratchets and net are throw ins but best to get better ratchet, they do their job if not heavy cargo. 250lbs! For sure this can withstand the heavy load. We throw bins, canopies, chairs, even occasionally strollers up there it yawns at whatever we throw up there.Overall, totally recommend this rack to friends and family. Warning though you will get frequent compliments on it, first compliment we got was from a lady; "Nice rack, very big, been meaning to get it that big" she said.

No issues
I've had this rack for about 9 months now installed on my chevy trax and I've used it for hauling a handful of items.. after installing you will hear a bit more wind noise and feel cross winds a bit more. Also my average MPG dropped maybe by 2. But I find that is mostly dependant on if you are on the highway going with or against the wind. Another good not is that I have safley gone into the tube carwashes with no issue while this was installed.

Nice rack
Easy assembly. Size adjustable. U shaped bolts a bit long for my 2014 ford explorer so rubber caps don't fit well. Otherwise well worth the money.

Great concept and size but shifts under weight
Once you know what size you are looking for it is very easy to assemble and attach. Put this on my aftermarket roof rack on my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and was very happy with it. I originally bought this because it has the 250# rating which no other roof basket had. Very little noise and the appearance looked great! I love that you can choose the size you want for what you are using it for. Unfortunately once it was weighed down with camping gear, it shifted while driving, almost taking our antenna off. I tried several variations to keep the unit that all failed so I had to return and purchase another brand. I feel that if had been compatible the value for money I spent and the quality would've been on par.

Sturdy cargo basket!
The instructions were clear and easy to understand.Assembling is easy as pie but the knobs to screw down and lock down the brackets were a pain to install but I was able to get the cargo basket set up just fine on my 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek with no problems at all.The little plugs they provide you to keep the screws and nuts covered was a nice touch, although if you don't like them, you don't have to but I think it was nice that it was added so that you could have some form of protecting them from rust and the like.

Excellent cartop carrier
This cartop carrier was absolutely perfect for our 20 hour trip across the United States! It is not too heavy and the size of it is just right for easily removing it at each hotel stay. It fit perfectly in the back of our SUV for safe storing overnight. Having all of the accessories for securing it to the carrier is an added bonus. And, customer service with this company is exceptional! Don't wait...buy this cartop carrier today! You will not be disappointed! Cheers!

About what you’d expect for cheap
I haven’t yet tried this rack under load, I bought it for an upcoming trip,It comes in four sections that join together. After you bend the ones that got mashed in shipping back into place. Sections are then fixed with cheap little screws which will quickly turn to rust. Then it attaches to your existing roof rack cross bars with U-bolts. Apparently they expect your cross bars to be quite thick, like two inches. There isn’t enough thread on the U-bolts to tighten up on GM cross-bars. When tightened to the max, the rack slides from side to side and the bolt ends protrude up into the cargo area that you had hoped to use to transport stuff. One needs to find some chunks of rubber or something to pad out the install. Then you need to find some bumper sticker, or spray paint or something to cover up the ugly logo. Who wants to drive down the road advertising some random-letter Chinese pseudo brand that is sloppily stenciled on to the ends with overspray and running letters?
