Not working good

We have 2 houses, with 2 outdoor grills. Both have starters that no longer work, so we have to use a lighter to get them started, which can be a little dangerous. I decided to try this product as it seems to be exactly what we needed.It’s a little longer than the lighters we use, so it keeps your hands further away from the flames. Couldn’t be simpler to use, you just pull the handle and it clicks and there is a faint spark at the end. Very faint. Can barely see it (at first, until I looked very closely, I thought it wasn’t doing anything).While it’s not expensive at all and does what it says, I find that I have to click it about 10-15 times before the grill actually lights. In theory, the gas could build up over those 10 seconds or so and cause an even bigger explosion/flame than normal when it starts. It didn’t, and I tried it several times, but it certainly had me worried. One time, after about 15-20 seconds and at least as many clicks, it still didn’t light so I turned the gas off and waited a minute or 2 for it to clear before trying again.I don’t know how long it will last (I’m sure there are a finite amount of sparks that it has), and we are going to leave it out with one of our grills, but I bet that sooner or later I’m going to go back to the lighter.

This is a great idea, but the tip and shaft of the igniter is too thick. It doesn't fit between the slats in our BBQ grill. So I have to lift the grill up every time with tongs to get it to light. Quality is very mediocre since the trigger and handle are both plastic.

Not much spark
