RothcoCanvas Map Case Shoulder Bag

I’ve bought a handful of these bags over the years, starting when I was a kid as part of an Indiana Jones costume. I’ve always loved the utility of these bags, though, and this one I have now makes a perfect Dog Walking bag. I have it hanging right by the door; I’ve got a couple different kinds of my good boy’s treats in here, a tug toy, a roll of extra poop bags (just in case)… It makes me feel like he and I are ready for an adventure. And we are! I love these bags and any excuse to carry one. It’s one of MANY Rothco canvas utility bags I have. I’ve got the huge Paratrooper bags, the small canvas duffle, the WWII Alice knapsack, the versatile mechanic’s bag… I love them all!

Quality and price were great

I purchased this to replace an identical bag I had purchased several years ago. The original lasted 3-4 years before I lost it, so I knew it was worth buying a second one. While my initial purpose for the bag was just as a light-duty satchel for camera, water bottle, and a book for trips to museums/parks/zoos/etc., it has quickly become a favorite for playing disc golf. The discs fit perfectly, and you still have room for a couple bottles of water and a light snack. Take note that there are only 3 pockets, and therefore it cannot be organized quite as much as some would like, but it is perfect for my purposes.The only complaint that I have is the strap...it could stand to be a good deal wider. If the bag is heavily loaded, the strap can dig into your shoulder and become extremely uncomfortable. This can be remedied with a strap from an old duffle bag, so I'll only deduct one star. Fantastic bag for the money.

I have been using this map bag for a while now. It has held up perfectly, looks great, and has no visible signs of the constant use I put it through. I use this for an art supply bag when I work outside. The size is perfect to hold all of my watercolor supplies. The best part is the hard back, keeping the bag upright instead of collapsing into a pile of folds. Highly recommend.

Perfect for rock hunting and carrying stuff!

Good quality and useful. I bought this as a part for kit use in an outdoors setting. Seems durable, good quality for the price. I used is recently as a storage bag for items I bought at a local flea market. It did the job.... wasn't sweaty on the back or side like it could have been for me by wearing a backpack.

My husband was looking for a more compact case for his Surface 3. His choice was either a large laptop bag or a sleeve type item. The large bag was too cumbersome and the sleeves did not have enough room for the power cables, external mouse and all his other stuff he likes to carry. This bag fits perfect. It is made to go across the body for carrying it is a snap. It is taller than it is wide so it gives him a nice compact bag that holds everything.

We tried to air it out…I waited too long to return, cannot use so throwing away. The cat urine odor is so strong!!! It is truly unbearable.If you cannot smell, or you like that smell. The bag seems great in all other ways .
