Flea and Tick Prevention for Cats, Repellent, and Control, Fast Acting Waterproof Topical Drops for Cats Over 3.5 lbs, 1 Month Dose

This product works well and is non-sticky and smells better (light fruity) than most of the spot-ins I have used. My cat still wasn’t happy with me applying it, but are they ever?

Unfortunately this didn't work for us. The two cats it was used on are indoor only cats, but our dogs go in and out regularly for walks or restroom breaks. The landlord here doesn't perform lawn pest treatment either, so corrective action is needed when preventative action isn't occurring.One of my cats (10yr old diluted calico) lost a lot of fur around the base of her tail after using this - this hair loss occurred around day 3 and continued for a week. My 2 yr old cat was vomiting a lot on day 2 after the application. Neither cat had a reaction immediately after application and they didnt consume any of it to my knowledge, but this product requires you to put it both on the neck and the back/spine. Cats are too flexible for this kind of application - even if they're too fat to reach either back to directly lick the meds, they still scratch the back of their neck and then lick their feet.The product takes 3-ish days to actually absorb for the most part- that's a long time to risk them ingesting it, plus exposure to owners if the cat is petted.No positive flea control ever happened, so quality gets the 1 star rating too. I spoke with a rep at the company to confirm the expiration date before using the product so I know it wasn't old or expired that lended to the ineffectiveness of the product. I won't buy again, that's for sure.

We have 3 large dogs, 3 puppies and a cat who love roaming our property. Our property is 100 acres of almost all woods. You’ll see more ticks on our property in 1 day than 99% of the population will see in their entire lifetime.We’ve tried every bit of tick prevention known to man, from the other over the counter brands to the expensive stuff from the vet, NexStar is the only one we’ve found to be effective on all of our animals, and no signs of any bad side effects.You have to understand how it works, the ticks have to bite first to be killed, it doesn’t keep them off your pet, it kills them once they bite. Dead ticks are far better than just repelled ticks, our over all tick population has dropped significantly since using this. Repelling ticks just let’s them live and breed more ticks. That said, you may still see some, either about to bite and die or having bit and dying, I even clean ticks off my riding mower, they’ll get on anything that brushes past their ambush point, so yes, you probably will still see some after using this, but once they bite they’ll be given a death sentence.

This product is perfect for what it claims to help with as far as repelling fleas. However i never experienced this before but this last treatment gave my cat a bald spot on the treatment surface that scared me a bit but she is fine now~ the hair regrew within a couple of weeks which is what i waited for before leaving this review. I would not bathe your feline before applying this: recommend you space out the treatment by a couple of days before & after bathing your floofer, in order to reduce skin sensitivity and avoid washing of the medication before it gets a chance to work. Despite the bald spot one off- I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I've been using this flea and tick solution and it's fantastic. The easy-to-use topical feature is a big plus, no fuss at all. I was amazed it started working in just 15 minutes. The best part? No prescription needed. It worked fast and was super easy to apply. This product is a game changer for me!

I've been really happy with this product. It's so easy to use - the topical application is a breeze. The fact that it starts working in 15 minutes gives me peace of mind. Fleas and ticks don't stand a chance. I would recommend this to any cat owner!

This product had such a pretty box (!!!) - and, the main ingredient was fipronil, a product that I've usedmany times before - under various brand names. It however, made my cat very ill - and the "feeling sick"lingered on for a couple of weeks - it didn't clear up in just a day or two, as you would expect a flea con -trol product to do. The product I since purchased (not sure if I'm allowed to say what that product IS??if not, I guess someone will edit this - it was Sentry fiproGuard ) works great, and guess what??? ..... mycat didn't get sick from it - with this one she actually curls up and goes to sleep PURRING extremelyloudly, and has the happiest look on her face as she sleeps and purrs contently through the night!I WISH I could say that this NEXSTAR product worked that way - it has such a pretty box, with theblack cat - - my cat also, happens to be black just like the cat on the front of the Nexstar box; it hasthat same main ingredient (fipronil), but it also has a second "main" ingredient . . . can't think of thename of that second main ingredient right now, but that ingredient HAS TO BE what made my cat sick -as well as fearful of "flea stuff". I definitely don't recommend using the Nextstar flea product.
