I think most people use these for rock painting (dotting), but they work well for other things too. For many years, I have used the smallest ones when I need a stylus. I used to sign all my jewelry cards with one of these dipped in gold enamel ink. I also use them to pull off a small drop of glue when too much is too much. Later, after it has cured a bit and the small amount of excess has peeked out around the edges and begun to harden some, I can use the stylus to gently pull off the unsightly glue. If you have waited the right amount of time, the excess will hold together and pull off in one piece like a string. Also, you can use the various sizes to add texture to clay, or to recess an area to allow for eyes on a clay animal or face. This is an excellent set -- it covers all the sizes one would ever need.
