When my English Springer Spaniel took the obligatory SnIfF, and suspected the trickery, but remained in puppy play mode.

The remote control robot dog is so cute! He is primarily made from a plastic-like material, and his ears and tail are rubber-like. I chose the black and white dog, and he has an adorable, yellow bow tie on his chest.The remote control takes two AA batteries, and the dog uses a rechargeable battery set. I wish you could plug the charging cable directly into the dog rather than having to unscrew and take out the battery for charging each time. It took the battery approximately two hours for the indicator light to show that it was fully charged for the first use. I liked that everything came with the dog and was ready to go, so I did not have to go and buy batteries. So far, the dog has kept my own pets entertained for 20 minutes without requiring a recharge. They love it!The remote control is large enough for a child's small hands to hold and use, and it has so many great features! It is really easy to use. The dog sits, barks, does a yoga pose, and even dances, which is my favorite! The movements are really entertaining. It really moves; not just a slight movement. There are wheels on the bottom of each paw, so he scoots around well on hard surfaces.

We got this for our little guy for Christmas. He loved it initially, as did his siblings. Fun concept. The dance mode was definitely a favorite. If was a bit glitchy at times, but was functional enough to be enjoyable. A couple weeks after getting it, the charger went missing. I tried reaching out to the manufacturer to find out where to get a replacement charger, as the toy is useless without it. No response. From February until April, it just sat there. I finally found a replacement charger in my own searching. Bought that and got it working again. Even though it just sat for those months, the legs no longer worked like they should. Jerky movements. Legs would randomly collapse. Our kiddo took it outside to show his friends and now it doesn't work at all. The voice is still functional, but it doesn't move and just sounds like spinning gears. Super disappointed that a 6 month old toy, that maybe got 2-3 weeks of light use, is now only good for throwing in the garbage. Not worth the price.

The robot dog looks super cute and cool, perfect for kids. It’s made of sturdy plastic that can handle rough play. The robot dog responds quickly to commands from the remote. It has few basic commands. But bad part is battery doesn’t last long.

This dog toy concept is great! It is overridden by a very poor battery charging system. Having to remove the battery to charge it. The battery charger in the USB-A connector is cheap! A good design should not take longer to charge the battery than to exhaust it. There should be a charging port on the dog to plug the charger in without having to remove the battery from the battery compartment.
