As a retired plumbing contractor this wheel has its place in my arsenal, for instance I wouldn't want to waste Sawzall blades on cutting lots of rebar, smooth cut is not required and this wheel is the go-to choice. I didn't have a problem mounting it to my brand of grinding wheel so it's thumb's up for me.

I much prefer this blade to the traditional abrasive ones. It cuts through steel like butter and doesn't seam to wear out at all.

old school cut off discs work WAY better and cut faster

I ordered this to test this type of cutter for steel as opposed to a abrasive disk. This seems to make a better and somewhat quicker cut. I have only tried it in mild steel but plan to try it in a little thicker enclosure. Overall happy with the function and quality of the product and seems like a decent value for the cost.

The advertising says “delivers over 5000 cuts” and “offers x100 times performance and longevity comparable to the standard bonded abrasive wheels”. Really?First of all, the disk may very well last 5000 cuts because it doesn’t do much cutting. It grinds away at the material generating a lot of heat but fails to clear the chips in order to cut with any efficiency, so it is painfully slow. It just clogs up when trying to cut soft metals like aluminum. And on thin material like the EMT conduit, you can cut it faster with a hacksaw or tubing cutter and not have to deal with deburring the cut this disk left. I have used other abrasive and diamond disks to cut similar materials to those tested, including stainless steel, with MUCH better results.Save your money and keep looking.
