Fantastic bit of kit
This is a fantastic bit of kit. Essentially it is a USB C expansion hub made to match an Apple Mac Studio computer. It is perfectly colour matched and the dimensions means that your MacStudio sits perfectly on top. It has a usb c plug which connects to a usb c socket at the back of your MacStudio and provides front expansion sockets for USB A and C as well as SD card and micro SD card slots. The real trick up its sleeve is the M.2 drive bay in the base which has allowed me to easily add a 4TB NVME drive that has massively expanded the internal storage at a fraction of the cost. I get about 900mbs write speeds which is great for photo and video editing up to 4k30.Overall this looks the part is well made and works perfectly and I can recommend it completely.

Excellent product
A super little gadget that fits under my new macmini seamlessly. Direct connection via usb c port allows me to add an ssd card and use this as my Time Machine back up destination rather than paying for cloud storage. Having the additional ports on the front makes uploading my photographs a simple task without having to add additional dongles. Can only think that Apple missed a trick here and should have been onto this idea themselves long ago.

Two tips for installation.
I bought the WD Blue SA510 2TB M.2 SATA SSD to put in this hub - apparently they are frequently purchased together and the drive is of the required type. The drive would not go in the slot in the way shown on the instructions. The only way to fit it was ‘upsides down’ (I.e. label downwards). Secondly, the drive was identified by the Mac but was considered unusable. No clue from the hub instructions how to deal with that. Fortunately, a clever person on YouTube has explained. I had to take the option to erase the disk first, giving it a name in the process. Only then did the Mac connect with it. The fact that the drive is upsides down doesn’t seem to matter. The drive is working. Too early to comment on performance but the hub looks very neat.

Great product
What a great and reliable product to expand the number of ports on my Mac Mini. I've been using it for 2 years. I've recently upgraded my Mac Mini to the M4 one, and I still prefer this because it offers more ports! The M4 dock doesn't have a USB-C, audio jack, or micro SD, but this does!

If you want your WiFi killed then buy this product, otherwise stay away!
I bought this product as it was a great way to add extra storage and connectivity on the front of our Mac Mini. However, it seems this device is killing the WiFi to the Mac. It used to randomly drop WiFi, but now it seems to permanently kill the WiFi. Took me ages to find this. Tried various tests to eliminate other things. If I have USB C lead plugged into the Mac from the hub, my WiFI speed drops from 100Mbps to so slow that speed tests won't run! They think I am disconnected. I rerun the test with the cable unplugged and speed is back to normal.Really, really disappointed as this product adds so much to the Mac mini and matches the look and feel so well. Being in the high-tech industry and to see a device so negatively impact another wireless device is shocking!

The perfect accessory for the Mac Studio
This is a superb addition to anyone who buys a Mac Studio. Fits perfectly underneath and gives more front ports for easy access. Of real benefit is the the ability to install an SSD drive (purchased separately) which works a treat. This is a very cheap option to extend the hard drive storage inside your Mac Studio without breaking the bank. Plus it will be upgradable too! But

Versatile addition to a Mac Mini
Took advantage of a Black Friday deal price and fitted a 2TB FIKWOT M.2 2280 SATA ssd with it. I'm using that for Time Machine backup, which is certainly swifter than the previous external USB HDD.Very useful expansion of the Mac Mini M1 ports (although the USBC isn't high power). Excellent match to the Mini's aluminium finish. Just a shame that the much faster PCI based NVMe SSDs aren't supported. These are many times faster and now available cheaper than SATA SSDs, which are becoming harder to find. Having said that, for something like a backup, SATA is just fine.

Sleek and beautiful
It looks good and works well with mac mini m2. Everything runs smoothly. The SSD chip, sold separately, is easy to fit, adds extra storage and is much faster than my previous external hard drives.
