Very sturdy and well made! Review: I recently painted my bathroom, and I needed to replace the large double towel bar I had with a smaller one (the large one had become loose, and taking it off, I lost the anchors into the wall, and the holes were really expanded). This one matches my hand towel rings and toilet paper holder perfectly. They could have come in the same set. As far as installation, I'll say that towel bars have always been my nemesis. I've had the hardest time getting the mounting brackets lined up correctly, so that the bar goes on with no problem. I've also never really been successful with anchors, and I was a little worried about using plastic anchors. Thankfully, someone in the reviews mentioned using a 1/4-inch drill bit, so that was perfect. I didn't see anywhere in the instructions what size bit to use. Since this towel bar is expandable, I didn't really have to worry about having the brackets perfect horizontally. If it was slightly off, I could just expand it to fit. Since I have had trouble in the past, I used a ruler and level to make sure it was evenly spaced with the toilet and that the brackets were level. So for me, putting up the brackets was the hardest part. Once I got those up, it was super easy (but a little tedious) to put the bar on. It is kind of hard to use that little Allen wrench to secure the inset screws, but it just takes patience. I do wish someone would invent a better way to mount these things, but they all seem about the same. Mine fit on the brackets perfectly, and once the screws were completely screwed in, it seems very sturdy. It'll just be me using this, since it's in my bathroom, so I won't have kids or teenagers yanking on towels. I think it'll last a long time. The only negative about this towel bar is that the place where one bar fits into the other isn't THE most attractive thing, but I think the fact that it is expandable outweighs the looks. I usually keep a towel on mine anyway.

For those having difficulty installing, the instructions are very unclear as to how to mount the wall bracket. It should be mounted with the flat side against the wall. That may be intuitive to some, but my engineer husband first mounted it the other way (rim against wall) because the picture looked like that was correct. There is no way the towel rack would stay attached with even light use if the plate is mounted backwards.
