Good fit, adjustable
adjustable and fits better than a standard vest style that I had before. This is the best fitting weight vest I have ever tried on.

LOVE THIS VEST
I've been using this on walks and hikes in order to get my body used to the weight of wearing fire gear, since I'm starting fire department training in a month. I started at 15 lbs and have worked my way up to being really comfortable carrying 24 lbs (going to 27 next). The vest with no weights in it is almost 3 lbs. Wearing this adds noticeable work for the legs, butt and core. I love that this does not smash my boobs. I've worn it over just a T shirt, and also over heavy long john shirt and sweatshirt. It's bulky, which is expected and fine, but my warmer winter outdoor gear just barely fits over it (so cold climate users, just be aware you may need a larger coat if you're putting a coat over this vest). I'm 5'4", 120 lbs and this adjusts small enough for me. Women will want to wear a racer back bra under it so the weight on your shoulders does not smash your bra straps into your skin. A good side benefit is that wearing it makes you so much warmer, you can dress for 10 to 15 degrees warmer than it really is outside. This is nice in Minnesota. People look at me a bit funny / wary - like I'm wearing tactical gear - which I don't mind at all when I am walking alone.

Both my shoulders are bad. I've had 3 shoulder surgeries and need another
I read all the reviews and don't understand ppl who said it didn't come with instructions. You just put it over your head and tighten the velcro straps to your size. Both my shoulders are bad. I've had 3 shoulder surgeries and need another. I have no pain in my shoulders at all wearing this. It could be ppl are trying to use too much weight to start with. Don't just slap on a 30lb weight vest if you have never used on, or your previous weight vest was much lighter. I also make sure the weight is even between the front and back. As you build up your strength, then your body will be able to handle more weight in the back vs the front. Take it slow and you should be fine..Anyways, it is easy to put on, easy to use and comfortable. I've used a different brand of weight vest. It was getting too light.

Phenomenal Quality
First, a main concern was smushing my chest. I'm 5'4 small boned, athletic build at 115 lb. However, I'm chesty and comfort was my primary concern. Surprisingly the vest doesn't hurt my chest.I don't use it for walking although I may start. I use it so I can go heavier doing leg work using free weights. Without it I'd have to hold 25 lbs. or more in each hand which isn't comfortable. It's easy to put on and take off although sometimes my hair gets caught under the shoulder straps if it's not put up. I like that there's ample selection where or how to distribute the weights when not using all at one time. The vest itself is made very well; it's strong and durable. An all-around solid fitness equipment investment.

Pros AND Cons
Pro's: The weight is amazing. I am fairly strong and I lift weights. I was surprised how heavy 30 lbs feels on the torso. It's awesome. I was very happy with that, and the fact you can take a couple of the weights (or however many) out to start at a lower weight, if need be. Considering what it is I would say it is comfortable. I use mine for doing crunches and back extensions and I can definitely see a difference in my "six pack", since adding the 30 lbs!Now for the cons: My waist is 32. I wear a size 11 jean, medium shirts and this thing will not Velcro snuggly to my lower torso. It has more ability to adapt to larger waists than smaller. I have to hold my hand on the front, when doing back extensions, or it will be obnoxiously dangling down and jiggling about as I raise and lower my upper body. I have also navel piercing, so I have to hold it in place (on my abdomen) when I do sit ups, since it is not a secure fit, or it really does a number on my piercing. My preference would be to hold my arms up and get a more complete work-out.Ultimately, I would buy this item again, knowing what I know, but I would be more in love with it if the straps really considered the female body a bit more and had to option fit smaller torsos more snuggly than it does.

Good but not great
Purchased this vest for my wife (64", 115 lbs) based on reviews. The vest itself is constructed very well with what appears to be good, heavy material. The securing straps at the waist leave a lot to be desired. They appear to be nylon strapping with Velcro sewn on, the straps are very long which may be necessary to fit some but it makes it practically impossible for smaller frame people to attach tightly without assistance. With the shoulder straps adjusted to the smallest/shortest length the bottom of the vest still rubbed my wife's upper leg when doing a WOD with step-ups. I found another vest at a national chain sporting goods store that fits great and is more comfortable than the MIR, however we are going to keep the MIR anyway as it holds up to 30 lbs and can be a spare or borrowed.

Stop your search right here!
I checked out many vests before deciding on the this one. I like the fact that the Velcro goes around and fits snugly to the back. I’m a size four and it fits perfectly. However, if you’re too thin it might not adjust snugly enough for you. It’s better than the normal vests because it narrows in front so the “girls” are not squashed.I would gladly recommend this vest for women. They have a men’s vest too.

It’s made well
This vest is no joke! I like that you can remove some weight or keep them all in the pockets. It’s a little odd trying to put it on by yourself but when I had my husband help me it worked out. It’s extremely heavy, more than I expected but overall I’m very pleased.

Good vest tailor to women
I really like this weight vest. I use it to hike and weighted pull ups. Haven’t ran with it yet. They give you 3lbs metal bars. Vest is good quality except there were no instructions to put it together, straps get confusing and not enough Velcro in front of you’re a smaller size person that need it to be tighter, but works great once you figure out how to tighten it more. Also the shape is great for your chest!

I can comfortably wear my fanny pack and listening gear
I immediately removed 15 lbs evenly to start using vest. I definitely felt the difference in walking my hour routine. The aches I felt were in my muscles however, not my joints, which was reassuring to me. When I feel particularly sore, I don't wear the vest for a day, then resume the next. Vest is very well made, and I air it out between uses. I wear a heavy cotton tee shirt underneath. I am 5'6'', 160 lbs, and vest fits very well. I can comfortably wear my fanny pack and listening gear. I feel this will be a valuable addition to my fitness program.
