A Long Time Coming: A Friends-to-Lovers Wedding Romantic Comedy (Cane Brothers, 3)

At first I thought 446 pages was too long but as I got into it, I didn’t want it to end! Lia and Breaker’s story was perfection! Best friends for 10 years until she’s engaged to someone else and the romantic feelings start to come rushing in. Lia realizes that Breaker attends to her needs and adores her the way her fiancée should but sadly doesn’t . Breaker realizes that he can’t let Lia get away. There were so many truly hilarious scenes in this book and even one scene where I found myself crying. Great ending to the Cane Brothers’ Series!

enemies to lovers is what i usually go for but this one is a very good bestfriends to lovers book.The only reason the book lost a star is because of Lia. She is totally adorable in her purple glasses so her i dont have a problem with.Lia doesnt have quite the im in love with him moment like Breaker does. She just suddenly feel hørny one time and everything start to feel «weird». There was almost no ‘admiring’ or ‘panicking’. It just felt rushed on her end. I wouldve wished we’ve gotten a moment where she truly felt like she could love him.But Breaker…hot as h*ll

I love that they started as friends. And talk about a Mother's boy, Brian was the epitome of one. Mrs. Brave was not a nice person! It was great when Lia finally stood up to her and the engagement. Breaker and Lia made the perfect couple. Again, love the sexy parts. Highly recommended this series.

I have loved the Cane brothers stories! This one was just as good as the other two! You can't go wrong with Megan Quinn!

This book has been on my TBR list for over a year I believe. I wanted to immediately jump into it, but once I started reading the reviews in the back of the book, I realized that there were a few books prior to this one so I went back even further and read Huxley and Lottie‘s then JP and Kelsey‘s books. I also found there was a book from a spinoff that I needed to read prior to this one which was Untying Tying the Knot about Bizley and Maya.Of course, I couldn’t just read all of those back to back, because I wasn’t in my romcom era at the time. It took me over a year to finally get caught up as I had untying the knot on myself waiting to be read as well cause that one had to intrigued me originally I now realize that was the catalyst that set off this whole chain of books. At any rate, when I finally got to the two I wanted to read I was mostly satisfied. I loved untying the knot that when it was an amazing book, this one I wasn’t as excited about after finishing.I just had a hard time relating to breaker and Lia. I just could not see them as a passionate couple. Therefore it was hard to connect that spark that you normally get in books for the people are so compatible that you just want to be a part of their world. I didn’t get that from these two I could not feel their union, at all.That made this a little hard harder to read, but I still loved it in the end because it was by Meghan Quinn, an amazing Author no matter what she writes. She still managed to pull this all together and make it a good book. The narrators did help bring the story to life too! Erin Mallon and J.F. Harding are 2 of my favorites! They brought the right amount of emotion to the story, making it more like a movie in my head and that IS an art for sure!!All in all, I’m sad to see the series end. I really liked meeting the Cane brothers and their stories and their friends stories. I have already read most of a newer hockey series, the Vancouver Agitators, and this is where I subsequently originally met the Cane brothers and Bizley. They also featured the pregnant sisters so I was intrigued to go back and find out what their stories were. There’s more to the baseball series as well that I believe are coming out, but some in the past, I need to catch up on too! I do love how Megan makes all of her worlds collide and mesh and grow. I have a huge backlog to work on and I can’t wait to get keep going.

Great way to end this series! Do love a good friends to lovers (best friends wedding) trope. The FMC was only slightly annoying at points. Great spicy scenes! Would recommend!

Ugh so sweet, low angst, littlest brother Breaker finally realizes his bestie needs to be more, but not until she's well down the road toward a marriage to someone else. Thankfully she comes around as well and they have a super steamy fairytale romance. 3.5/5 spicy
