Tough 1 Hoof Saver Boot

This is one of the best pieces of equestrian equipment I’ve ever bought. Durable. Easy to use. Makes poulticing so simple as you just pop a poultice pad in the bottom and do up the strap. I do put some cotton wool and vet wrap around the leg below the fetlock joint to avoid any running risk. I bought a medium for my dainty foot 15hh Andalusian . It fits him fine but I would want it any smaller. So for bigger horse I’d suggest the large. He’s been poulticed and walking around my yard with the boot - and this week we’ve had torrential rain - and his dry poultice has stayed dry and in place. First time I used a bit of tape as length of strap too long to secure onto Velcro. But haven’t bothered since as not caused a big issue other than gathering debris on the spare Velcro. Highly recommend this product! Wish I bought this years ago! Certainly makes up for my poor poulticing skills with vet wrap and grey industrial tape!

Excellent boot I bought it to put on my horse when she had a foot abscess so I could poultice her and turn out. This boot did an excellent job of protecting her foot and keeping it clean while poulticed so she could still have turnout. Had it on every day for 2 weeks no rubs, never came off and still in excellent condition! Highly recommend.

This has been a fabulous addition for our 16.1hh TB horse. We bought the M size which was approx 13.5cm width and fitted her perfectly. It fitted with a poultice on underneath too and was a great alternative to using duct tape. It stayed on in the field even with rolling and running around. We've also used it without the poultice to protect her hoof. It's easy to clean and seems to be very hard-wearing. After the first week of nearly constant use, it remained in tact and fit for purpose. Would recommend.

Having read other reviews I was not expecting such a robust piece of equipment but it is. Well my Cob has not managed to destroy it yet and he has had it on for a week. He lives out and it’s getting muddy but the hoof which had a deep abscess is still clean and healing nicely. I had to go xl and could really do with a bit more Velcro on the strap which is fiddly but results are worth it. I have definitely got value for money.

Bought to poultice my horse. Worked great, stayed in place, fit well and durable. I bought the large, it measured 6" across. My boys hoof is 5.5", but once it had a poultice on too it fit perfectly

Unsure of sizing but got a small for my 15.3 TB and it fits like a glove! Has meant he is able to have turnout whilst having a poultice on, it’s been a good investment and book is really sturdy. Once you have the knack to get it on and off it’s really easy.

Having only been used for 5 days horse has some how manage to completely rip the velcro strap off the boot making it totally unusable. Seriously disappointing as it cost almost £50!

It’s great to use to soak a hoof that as an abscess, and/or use in stable as a poultice protector. But In field the plastic buckle on the back isnt strong enough on its own to hold the tension to keep the boot on, specially when my welsh D is doing his dragon funky dances during recovery. So i put ducktape around the top to keep it on for a couple days.

Botte de soin dont je me suis servie pour traiter un abcès. Top ! Côté taille, j’ai pris M alors que ma jument a des petits pieds j’aurais du prendre S mais ce n’était plus dispo. Mais je mets avec une couche pour protéger le sabot, c’est parfait.

Horse came up lame and vet advised soaking. It is so much easier to soak in the boot then remove, rinse and put it back on. Turned out to be a huge deep recurring abscess that the poor horse has been dealing with for years. Looks like a previous owner had left packing in her hoof so it kept recurring. This boot made my life significantly easier. The only thing I don't like is the velcro doesn't stick well and the horse will then step on it and tighten it back up. We are in now at the three week mark and it is holding up great!! This is our second boot = last one was twenty years ago and I still have it. Is a back saver for sure!

Love this boot. Fits most of the horses. East to use.
