Excellent large dressing
This is a great multi-purpose dressing that’s easy to deploy. It’s very large so be aware that even in the package it’s about the size of a sheet of letter paper. It will only fit in the largest of first aid kits. The dressing is multi layer and can absorb quite a bit of fluid before it needs to be replaced. You could of course cut it to size as well and it’s actually big enough to create an improvised sling. But you’re better off using non-sterile cloth for that. It’s definitely a great thing to have in your emergency kit. I would always put one in the bottom of my bag for camping. The only downside is is of course the large size but it packs fairly flat. You might want to put it in a Ziploc bag to make sure that the sterile packaging doesn’t get damaged. Well I certainly hope I never need a dressing that’s 30 inches long, it’s nice to know that it’s there in case of an emergency. This is not adhesive so you will need to attach it with a bandage or medical tape.

An essential part of my emergency kit
I like to keep at least one of these large sterile multi-trauma dressings in my car emergency kit and also at home. This 10" x 30" size is perfect for stopping bleeding and providing extra protection and padding for deep wounds, large abrasions, burns, penetration wounds, and large limb fractures. This sterile dressing is made of a soft non-woven material that has a moisture resistant outer layer and a highly absorbent filling that wicks blood and other fluids up quickly. You can double the pad up to make it smaller, but don't cut it because the filling will shift or fall out. Also, if you double it be sure to keep the absorbent side down against the wound and the moisture barrier side up. This size is excellent for treating road rash or large burns to the chest or back until EMS arrives. This is a non-adhesive dressing, so you'll need tape to hold it in place. This is a welcome addition to my first aid supplies!

Good But Not Great Trauma Dressing
I've had pretty good success with Ever Ready branded wound dressings and was anxious to try this 10-pack of 10"x30" multi-trauma dressings. Unfortunately, I got the chance to try them out fairly quickly after arrival as an injury resulted in my needing to try one out. These are China-made wound dressings with each wound dressing being individually wrapped. Ever-Ready is based out of New York. These are considered sterile until open. These are considered single-use dressings.I could not find anything indicating what these bandages are made of and I will note that they seemed to agitate by skin a bit - nothing dramatic, however, I definitely noticed it. These are fairly absorbent, pack very well with significant wounds/injuries, and stayed very secure until I was in a better place to bandage it more securely. These are a fairly modest value. Pricing is somewhat consistent with others of the same type. You can definitely find more expensive and less expensive. I felt like maybe this was a little bit high considering it performs more like a generic dressing. Overall, this is a good but not great trauma dressing. If you have skin sensitivities, you might want to use a bit of caution. I tried to find out if these have latex, which I'm allergic to, but couldn't find anything giving me the facts. I still think these are pretty good for emergencies, but I doubt these will make my ongoing healthcare regimen or my at-home first-aid kit.

Essential For Emergency Kits
During medical training I saw a lot of trauma ranging from car accidents all the way up to the mayhem of our inner-city “Friday Night Knife & Gun Club.” Couple those experiences with the fact I now live in the most seismically active part of North America, and you can probably understand why I place a high priority on keeping a well-stocked emergency kit. In my opinion, these large Ever Ready trauma dressings should be part of everyone’s emergency supplies. Each of the 10 dressings is individually packaged and sterile. Although the size is listed as 10” x 30”, that’s when the dressing is completely unfolded. Just out of the package they’re 10” x 7 ½” with quarter folds. That extra thickness adds to the absorbent properties – and that's just what’s needed in an emergency.A 10-pack of the Ever Ready trauma dressings costs about $28 ($2.80 each at the time of this review), while many comparable 10” x 30” dressings are listed with unit costs between $4.00 to $6.50 apiece. These Every Ready dressings provide a good value, and are definitely worth keeping on hand in case they’re ever needed.

Large, nicely thick, very soft
- Made in China- Marked sterile but no method- Expiry 2027 as if that matteredThis is the Big Mama of dressings.A number of items from this brand have gone through Vine, the last year or so, and I've been very happy with all of them.I got both a single pad and another order for a double pad so I was able to test the single. These are very absorbent, very soft, will also work as very good padding for tender areas.Very happy to have anything from this brand in my prep.

Excellent Addition To Emergency First Aid Supplies
The length of the pad inside the non-stick cover is 27" which is enough to cover a very large wound area or could easily be folded in half for twice the absorption over an area before soaking through. I do think it could be cut in half and doubled-over if there were two smaller, but still 'large', wounds that needed dressing.I tested the liquid resistance aspect of this trauma dressing with ketchup and water on the front side. I noticed the water came through some but it did hold the ketchup portion to the front area.I live in earthquake territory so I'm often thinking about what would happen if "the big one" hit and our neighborhood was on its own to take care of ourselves, and one another, for a while. Prior to receiving this order, I had nothing in my first aid kit for use on larger wounds.I feel better knowing these are on hand now. May we never need to use them!
