Gets the job done and perfectly sturdy. Versatile and cost effective.
I'm a big fan of VR, so I have multiple VR setups to get the optimal playing experience across different platforms. I love my standalone headset, but I also wanted something that could take advantage of PCVR and get the very best tracking. In order to do that you need to have lighthouse tracking. I personally bought a valve index used for a decent price, but even at a good price, it's pricey. I wanted to minimize the extra costs for the lighthouse setup, but I wanted something that was easy to use/move around, can cover an entire space fully and also to feel confident that it wouldn't fall over and break my expensive purchase. After some research these seemed to have the best review to price ratio. They've been everything I wanted. They can get super tall and even go beyond the height of my ceiling, they're extremely adjustable to help you get the perfect coverage of the room for ideal tracking, and even when lifted up extremely high, the base is extremely adjustable to allow for maximum stability.I've been using these for a while now and haven't had a single issue. I very rarely have to move anything, but if I do they're light as a feather and super easy to breakdown or shrink. Strongly recommend this for anybody looking for lighthouse holders.

These stands will work, but they're not perfect.
These stands get the job done, but are not anywhere near as stable as better quality photo tripods. I'm using these stands for Cosmos Elite base stations. When the stands are fully extended, the base stations will move (due to the flex in the stand) with ANY touch of the stand, and will take time to stop 'swaying'. Set the stands up 2-3 ft outside the play area, so you don't bump into them. The stands are stable with the legs fully extended out and will require about a 2 ft diameter on the floor, so keep that in mind when setting up also. I use twist ties to secure the power wire to the stand.Once the stands are stable and stop swaying, the base stations work very well. The stands are a great way to establish more permanent wall mount locations without drilling holes in your walls.Although they're not super stable, the stands will work well, with a little planning, and offer some versatility in setting up a VR play area.

Accomplishes it's intended purpose.
I like the compact nature of these tripods when folded. They're a little wobbly when full extended, but that's to be expected and doesn't effect the lighthouse accuracy. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and would do so again if needed.

A good, flexible solution for Vive owners
As an HTC Vive owner that lives in an apartment, these stands have been awesome. I used the mounting points on the back of the base stations (rather than the bottom.) The mounting stems on the stands have a small groove so that the sensors sit perfectly horizontal, and this gives excellent tracking coverage. The only gripe I have is that the stands feel a little bit unsteady when they are fully extended, but that is easily remedied by only extending them 80-90% of their maximum length, which still provides adequate height for the sensors and better stability.I also really like that they fold up to a very compact size that can easily fit in my dresser drawers if I want to put them away for a cleaner looking apartment when company comes over. If you're not ready to permanently mount your sensors and want an option with some flexibility, these are a must-have accessory in my book.

Work as intended. Not for me.
The poles came in great condition and were easy to assemble. My problem started when I literally cannot tilt my base station down with the pole, forcing it to be straight. It works however this is not for me.

Included zipper bags?
These really are a great value for what they do. Mine came with two canvas zipper bags with two compartments each and ziplock bag that fit perfectly inside the pockets. I don't know that they show up well in the pictures Almost like a two sided purse or miniature saddlebags. I wonder if these are meant to be filled with sand or something to provide weight the base. Each opening is double zippered. Has anybody else got these with their order?
