OverviewThis Ultrasonic Pest Repeller claims to deter a wide range of pests—including roaches, rodents, spiders, ants, and mosquitoes—using high-frequency sound waves. The 6-pack set ensures coverage for multiple rooms, and the 3-mode switching (continuous, intermittent, and hybrid) allows customization based on infestation severity. But does it really work? Here’s a detailed breakdown.Pros:✅ Non-Toxic & Chemical-Free – Unlike sprays or traps, this repeller is safe for kids and pets (except rodents like hamsters or guinea pigs). No mess, no poison.✅ Wide Pest Coverage – Targets common household pests, including mice, roaches, ants, spiders, and mosquitoes.✅ 3 Adjustable Modes –Continuous: Steady ultrasonic waves for heavy infestations.Intermittent: Alternating frequencies to prevent pest adaptation.Hybrid Mode: Combines ultrasonic + electromagnetic pulses for enhanced effectiveness.✅ Energy-Efficient & Low Maintenance – Plugs directly into outlets, consumes minimal power, and works 24/7.✅ 6-Pack Value – Covers multiple rooms (recommended: 1 per 800–1,200 sq ft).Cons:⚠️ Variable Effectiveness – Some users report strong results (especially for mice & spiders), while others see little to no change (particularly with roaches and ants). Ultrasonic waves don’t penetrate walls well.⚠️ Pests May Adapt – Some insects (like roaches) can become habituated to ultrasonic frequencies over time.⚠️ Not Instant – Takes 2–4 weeks to see noticeable results as pests gradually leave the area.⚠️ Pet Considerations – While safe for cats & dogs, rodents like hamsters or rabbits may be stressed by the high-frequency sounds.Real-World PerformanceBest for: Mice, spiders, mosquitoes (most consistent results).Moderate for: Ants, roaches (works better in combination with other methods).Least Effective for: Severe infestations (may need traps/baits as backup).Tip: Place repellers in open areas (not behind furniture) and pair with good sanitation (sealing food, fixing leaks) for best results.Final Verdict: 4/5 ★★★★☆This ultrasonic repeller is a solid, eco-friendly option for preventative pest control, especially for rodents and spiders. However, managing expectations is key—it works best as part of an integrated pest control strategy, not a standalone miracle solution.Who Should Buy It?✔ Those looking for a non-toxic, hands-off pest deterrent.✔ People with mild to moderate pest issues (not severe infestations).✔ Households wanting long-term prevention rather than instant kills.Who Should Skip It?✖ Those with major roach/rodent infestations (may need stronger measures).✖ People expecting immediate results (requires patience).Bottom Line: A worthwhile investment for maintenance pest control, especially given the 6-pack value. Use alongside sealing entry points and cleanliness for optimal results.

Some important things to note.
Yes, the product does work as intended. Not is not meant as an end all be all. This is for people who have a light to moderate infestation. If you have anything above light or moderate, this product will not be as effective until you hire someone to fumigate your space and THEN apply these as a preventative measure so they don't come back. When using this product, do not be alarmed if at first you see MORE pests coming about. It means the product is functioning properly, as the ultrasonic waves are infiltrating their brains and causing them to panic, and therefore to flee from your space. Hang in there if you're at this stage, it does get better. This means it's pulling not only the critters you COULD see, but the ones you COULDN'T see. They say, for example, for every place you find ONE rat, there are probably 3 more hidden somewhere. So, be patient and let the product work its magic. In the meantime you could also set traps, in places that won't interfere with the plug-in. This way when they come out, they will head to those traps, seeking refuge in their attempts to flee. After about 2 weeks, things should improve. No, they will not be gone completely by this time, but there should be a noticeable difference.By the 6th week, sightings should be miniscule. Maybe you see an occasional critter here and there, once every few days or so. This is fine. The product is working as intended. For the settings, you should be using this on at LEAST the middle setting if you have a moderate to light infestation. If you have a VERY light infestation, or the issue is solved for now, then the lightest setting should do. You should actually NOT use the highest setting during times you or your pets are in the home. Because it is audible and it is noticeable, and for some, it is bothersome. Right on the box, they even recommend that the highest setting only be used when you and/or family are away from the home (so for example, maybe you put it on the highest setting when you and/or your kids/pets are away at work or school or on a walk), and use Low or up to Medium setting when occupying your space. Unless it's being used in a place like your garage or a warehouse, then you could leave it on the highest setting. Also, if in general, the highest setting's sound does not bother you, then of course you could leave it on High. Apparently it does take some getting used to or adjusting for kids or pets, though so it may bother them at first, but they'll tune it out eventually. Could also just turn on the TV or listen to music to drown it out. Also, make sure that wherever you plug this in, that it is unobstructed by other objects, especially things like table cloths or curtains etc. It should be parallel to the floor, meaning not touching the floor. The reviewer who stated that they placed one outside their front door to get rid of mosquitoes lurking there, doesn't seem to understand that they gave up right as the product was doing what it was supposed to. If you are seeing MORE mosquitoes AT FIRST, that is a good sign. That means it's working. They are stuck to the wall because they are disoriented and trying to figure out how to get away.I think the main takeaway from this is, patience, patience, patience. Give it time. It's not an instant or immediate solution. It is gradual, and needs at LEAST a few weeks to really do its job. You're not going to 100% stop seeing pest altogether if you had them. But you will see a gradual decrease and perhaps a lesser occurence of them. If it seems 100% ineffective, try troubleshooting the issue. Or, it may mean the issue is a lot more major and requires consulting with a professional. Then, and only then, might it serve well as a deterrent or preventative solution instead. Perhaps you won't need to hire someone as often, that sort of thing.

These actually work - sort of
EDITS BELOW: I’ve been dealing with a mouse infestation for the first time in my life all summer and have tried EVERYTHING, but they kept coming back. I didn’t believe these plugin things would actually do anything but figured it was worth a shot - I left all 6 plugins on the highest setting in a one-bedroom apt overnight and had TWO mice in traps the next morning! They really do bring them out of hiding, I guess by distressing them. I had only caught one at a time before, and it took a long time to catch them. I was also gone overnight so the frequency wouldn’t bother me - I’m gonna try to leave them on the highest setting tonight everywhere but the bedroom to see if it bothers me, and put the bedroom one on the middle/yellow setting. I will say that I think the red/highest setting is what works, idk how effective the yellow setting rly is. But if you’re hesitating to try these, just do it; I can’t believe how quickly and well they worked!EDITED TO ADD: idk, I’m returning these because I’m starting to think they actually attracted the mice. The instructions say that you’ll see increased mouse activity at first as the noise disturbs them out of their hiding places, and I did catch several mice, way more than usual, when I used these overnight. But the noise kinda sounds like loud mice squeaking, and I suspect it attracted the mice - I found them in traps right next to the noise makers. And now that I haven’t been using them, I haven’t caught any mice and less evidence of them. So while these definitely had an effect, I’m not quite sure they worked how I wanted them to.
