Installed new pocket door and added soft open and close. Easy to install and adjustable, our door is heavy solid wood with mirror and were able to adjust as needed.

No directions but I figured it out and works quite well.

This is for NEW installs of s pocket door. If you have an existing pocket door and want to install soft close THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. The adjustable stop for when the door closes can only be installed from the side before the drywall goes on so not for use with existing pocket doors unless you have very thin very long arms

I installed a door and wanted to upgrade to soft close. These do not have any instructions at all.

These slow closer/openers work perfectly in my pocket door. Instalation is straightforward per the instructions. Highly recommend them if you dont want a slamming door.

I bought this thinking it was genuine Johnson hardware and spent nearly an entire day removing and reinstalling my super heavy pocket door including cutting a hole in my drywall so I could access the track for the soft open feature. After hanging the door I was puzzled to find that the new hardware sounds like it is grinding on my track and, more importantly, the soft close doesn't work as well as the old hardware. It is not nearly as strong and catches the door too late. With just a little push, the door will hit the frame instead of being caught by the closer and gently closed. I called Johnson hardware for support and they immediately identified this is non genuine hardware. I see that in the description of this listing they are saying it's "compatible" but I think it's still a little bit of a tricky listing. I thought I was buying genuine hardware and instead I got this lower quality hardware that will require replacement. Another day of work lost. EDIT: I purchased and reinstalled genuine Johnson Hardware soft close/open hardware at a significantly higher price. The Johnson hardware is superior. It is much stronger and catches the door properly. It is almost impossible to hit the jamb with the Johnson hardware, it catches the door even when slammed shut or thrown open with a lot of force. I am updating my star rating from a 1 to a 2 because the knockoff hardware sold here is of decent quality if you don't care about the finer details of functionality. I still do not recommend you buy the non-Johnson hardware but if you need a cheaper replacement and don't care about it not working 100% properly, then this is an ok deal.

Fonctionne très bien, je suis très satisfait! Mon seul bémol est que les roulettes n’entraient pas dans le rail déjà installé (pas assez de place sur les côtés). Heureusement mon mur n’était pas fini, j’ai pu enlever le panneau de gypse et retirer le rail. À partir de là, tout a bien été. Sans accès, l’ouverture douce aurait été impossible (je ne vois pas comment) et la fermeture aurait sûrement été possible, mais avec de la difficulté pour faire entrer les roues dans le rail.

Great product for new pocket door installs. No slamming of the door.

Works good but very tight if you have doors on the smaller side.
