I'm so pleased that I took a chance with this brand. The matcha shortage has been crazyyyy and I was ready for more complexity and depth while wanting to move away from safe/beginner-friendly matchas as they started to taste diluted and dare I say- basic? Just basic and green?The market is super saturated with so many choices, it's overwhelming and expensive. I wanted to find one that was readily available, quick shipping, authentic, earthy, not too bitter, smooth, nutty. affordable to a point ; I don't want to spend 60 for a canister but if I were to be disappointed time after time, Id conclude that the taste i was searching for would only be guaranteed at that price point and accept it, gladly. It blends beautifully and there is a nutty, roasted smell as well as taste to it. I wanted to gatekeep this but I know someone is in the same boat I was in and Dona deserves recognition for providing us with an exceptional matcha that I've been looking forward to every morning and afternoon. I'm so happy. My golden ratio with Dona is 3 grams matcha/ 30 ML hot water (no more than 175° F) 2 tsp brown sugar 1 tsp maple syrup and 100 ML oat milk (oatly Basic is my fav right now)I wish I could "up" some ingredients to have more volume of it to drink .. but I'm not gonna mess with perfection.

This is by far one of the best matchas I have tried. I drink matcha almost every day and have tested many different brands over time, so I can definitely tell the difference with this one. The flavor is smooth and rich, and the color is vibrant green, exactly how good quality matcha should look when prepared. I think the amount is a bit small for the price, but the quality makes it worth it. Overall, it’s an excellent product and one I would recommend to other matcha lovers.

ive written a five star review for this powder last time. I ordered it again and was disappointed. the price range for this matcha is not cheap at all but i decided to repurchase this powder since i really enjoyed it. First of all, it came in a different package and I noticed a difference in the color. It was not as bright as it was. the powder also had more texture and was not smooth at all it kept sinking down in my matcha and I could feel the powder in my mouth and throat when i was drinking it..(chalky and almost felt like fine sand) I took a comparison pic from the last batch I got. (I kept the empty tin so i had to scrape some out). The top is the last batch the bottom is the powder I just received u can see the grittiness. Overall, the taste itself is pretty similar but it feels like the quality just dropped and it is really unpleasant to drink textured matcha. Feels like a waste of money. Don’t think I will repurchase from now on unless they fix the formula back.
