Maybe. At that point it's 8 months old just wear a chest carrier or hold your child I mean come on.

My child is 41 inches tall. Would this work? I'm thinking her legs might drag the ground.

It might just barely work. My child is 40 inches tall and weighs 37 lbs. We were able to use it for a recent trip, but she will probably be too big for it if we would need it again. I like that it has a harness belt. My child's legs did not drag on the ground. Just tilt the suitcase back far enough. It was a little tricky to get her in it, which I'm thinking it's because of her weight. Be careful as the suitcase and kiddo will easily tip over. I had to kneel down, sitting back on my heels. I had the base/seat part resting on my lap then had my child sit on it then I'd strap her in. Be careful getting up and be sure to hold on to the suitcase, or your kid and suitcase will tip over. In the end, this was a bit of a lifesaver for us as we had to rush from one end of the Baltimore Airport to the other to get our connecting flight. If we had to carry the kiddo, we may have missed our flight.
