Fixed My 2000 Silverado Perfectly
After 26 years the hood release handle broke on my 2000 Silverado 1500 pickup. I found this for a super price with great reviews so it was a no-brainer purchase. The reviews were accurate. This fit perfectly with no alterations required. Easy to install. Just remove the trim, use a 13mm socket to unscrew the nut, and a needle nose pliers to compress the cable retainer and put it back in place. It’s a 5-10 minute job. I watched a YouTube video for assistance. I’m super happy and absolutely recommend this handle.
