Alumicolor 3000 Series 6-Inch Blue Mini Aluminum Triangular Engineer Scale (3210-5)

I carry this in my shoulder bag and it fits perfectly in an inside pocket. I am a 'semi-retired' Civil Engineer and do a lot of plans/specifications reviews over lunch in restaurants and in trailers on job sites! Normally don't need a full size scale so this is perfect?!!

Great compact engineering ruler, I am a student so it's nice to always have available with me in my back pack. Material feels really high quality although the edges are a little sharp. Had it for a couple of weeks not and have not seen any of the number fade yet but I also keep it in the plastic tube it comes in. Overall great if you're looking for a compact engineering ruler and It looks cool.

I tried carrying around my full-size scale around with me as I shuttled between campus and work. But, that got old real fast.Great to use a luxurious straight-edge, but even better to have on hand when you want to make a scaled sketch. However, I would recommend against using this as your regular scale if you use one often. The small size and lack of heft can make it a little tedious to handle for any longer than a few minutes. Overall, the workmanship really shows, and I bought an extra to keep at home!

Doesn't show well in the picture, but these are really thin. A standard triangular scale is 1" across a flat side. These are 0.3". The graduations are crisp and look like they are anodized on with the color coat, if that's possible. They are not painted, stamped or etched. Not what I expected, but seems to be a quality product, and easy to fit in a pocket.

I like using this for measuring parts and what not. It is very handy, readable, and the case protects it from damage.

Great little scale to have in hand if your in construction and need to do a quick take off from the plans.

I am a Civil Engineering student in my senior year, and this is a great little scale for my schoolwork. I use it as a straightedge and also to scale pictures for accurate calcs. Every engineer should have one of these little guys.
