Born during the revolutionary and musically-rich '60s, Psychedelic Rock provided a platform for British and American musicians to experiment not only with hallucinogenic drugs, but also with new sounds that included elaborate studio effects, non-Western instruments -such as sitar and tabla-, disjunctive song structures and surreal and esoterically-inspired lyrics. The Psychedelic Rock Box is a 6XCD compilation that showcases the work of the genre's most prominent artists and many of the essential tracks from that era. The Fuzztones, Arthur Brown, Spencer Davis Group, The Deviants, Sun Dial and Plasticland are only a few of the performers included in this definitive collection of the genre. With fantastic artwork and remastered sound, The Psychedelic Rock Box is an fundamental addition to your rock music collection. And remember that it is not available on streaming platforms!

Psychedelic Rock
A a child of the 60's, I would say that this CD is a great collection of Psychedelic Rock for the period.

Six-pack o' FUZZ.!
Thoroughly enjoyable pop/psych. from various eras. The 1960s mainly through to 1980s. 'The Fuzztones' rub shoulders with 'John's Children'. There are English bands, American bands, South American bands and even Aussie stuff. This is psych 'lite'. Think "Arnold Layne" as opposed to anything Brainticket did and you'll get the picture. Here's the downside: no info. No pics. All you get are the song titles and the name of the artist. The thin cardboard slipcase contains two six-face digipaks each containing 3 CDs. Each cd runs an average of about 40 minutes. The shortest being around 35 minutes. That's okay. It doesn't seem like you are drowning in this stuff when you play it but I guess the whole lot could have been squeezed onto 3 CDs to save space. Good for the price. I'm happy I bought it.

Worthless hodge-podge of already released 60's and recent 'retro' psych that's pretty awful
Terrible garagei A mixture of already released stuff with 'retro' modern bands that pretend to be psychedelic. Worthless.
