Sustainability, worm pets, and a really cool science experiment
I got this worm composter for my sustainability loving partner. She absolutely loves it. Right out of the box it feels like a professional and well put together item. She is already getting stoked to put it all together and start her worm farm. She is already considering them as pets and looking up what to do if she leaves town for a week. This is a REALLY neat project, and I can especially see kids getting very into this as a little science experiment.

Exceptional Quality
Produces premium-grade fertilizer. Earthworm castings are loose and aerated, preventing root burn when used for flowers and vegetables. Diluted liquid fertilizer promotes vigorous growth. Essential for organic cultivation. Add fresh materials to the top layer while harvesting mature organic fertilizer from the bottom. Earthworms naturally stratify the material, eliminating manual turning. Quiet and odor-free.

Excellent worm composter - the smaller base size works well for my indoor space.
This worm bin system is working very well for a simple indoor worm composter. I have a larger system outside, but really like having this stack of bins in my backroom. I needed to add a sheet of tule with fine mesh to the bottom of the lowest bin to keep worms from going down into the bottom reservoir, but every bin system I have used has the same issue. I like the smaller base footprint of this bin system and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get worm compost with limited space ... or just have an extra indoor/outdoor worm farm.

Experienced vermiculture composter’s review
Edit Oct 11, 2025: I’m increasing the rating because I’ve had zero escaped worms since that first day. I think the worms were restless because of the shipping (the instructions from the worm company said they might be, and that seems to be true). My other criticisms hold but I plan to keep the bin since the worms are staying contained. Even in the last bin some occasionally got out (usually they fell out of the lid while I added food). I plan to drill a hole and bolt on a knob on the lid. I’ll also need to raise up the box to accommodate a container to catch the tea. (I always left the spigot open. Otherwise the liquid builds up and I would end up with dead worms and a disgusting mess). So I’ll have to figure out something to keep it a 6 or so inches off the ground. ——— Original Oct. 9 2025 I was replacing my previous bin which gave out after years of use. I was attracted by the cute look of this one. It’s cute and fairly sturdy but it’s not functional at all. - It’s small - Doesn’t seal and worms escape from the sides and the lid - Doesn’t have enough clearance to collect the liquid at the bottom - The lid knob is a bad shape, slippery, and impossible to grip. I’ve dropped it 100% of the times I’ve lifted it. That’s really all you need to know to know this doesn’t work. The soil meter is interesting and I love the instruction manual which is thoughtfully laminated. Some words are misspelled (it’s paper not papper) but the content is great. The bin just doesn’t work. I’ve had the worms less than 12 hours and I’ve already picked up at least 20 off the floor, stretched out and hard as rocks. Sometimes they come to life if you peel them up carefully enough but mostly they’re just worm food. I did add a banana to ensure they’d have food and not want to escape but the bin is just not well designed and doesn’t seal. See pictures of the low lip of the lid, gaps in the bin (yes I followed the directions and alternated the sides), and lack of clearance for the cup (for any cup). If you like worms all over your floor, both from escaping and dropping the lid, get this one. If not, keep shopping.

Easy Setup
Easy to set up worm compost bin. This set comes with all the necessary parts to try out worm composting. Fun project for adults or kids. The bins are made of sturdy plastic and there are no leaks. Worms seam to be happy.

Compact and Productive – Great for Beginners
I’ve been using the worm compost bin for a while now, and it’s working really well. The setup was simple, and the trays make it easy to manage different stages of compost. It doesn’t smell, which I was a little worried about since I’m keeping it indoors. The included starter kit was a nice bonus, especially for someone new to vermicomposting like me. It's a compact system but holds a surprising amount of food scraps. So far, very happy with this little worm farm.
