New Daily Driver
I'm not into the whole "Everyday Carry" backpacks that are just a black bag with no standout features that target niche pockets and sizes and materials just to cost $300. Yes I'm looking at you "Manybaggers". I wanted a good commute bag that was between my Osprey Daylite Sling, and my Osprey Transporter Roll Top. The Osprey Daylite was exactly what I needed. The Seaweed Green is beautiful, and the bag is the perfect size for daily carry, while also being versatile enough to allow for an overnight trip. It has the typical Osprey features that are more fitted for backpacking but translate surprisingly well to commuter bags, namely the chest and hip straps, the back ventilation, and compression straps. All features I miss on conventional bags, especially the back ventilation! So the key things that make this perfect for day to day is the laptop sleeve and water bottle pockets. Those are my two requirements for day to day. It fits my 13.6" MacBook Air just fine, and my Nalgene Water Bottles are a perfect fit. So no issues on those parts. It passes the test for my needs. Past that the quality of the bag itself is as expected. It's water resistant but I would buy the Osprey Commuter Waterproof Cover if you're expecting to carry it in rain. It's an extra cost but you can use it on all of your bags regardless. Without one it's good enough for accidental spills but not full on soaking. The zippers are also perfect, as expected from Osprey. You're not catching it on a million things even when packed to the brim.

Really great day pack!
TLDR: 11/10, would (and did) buy again. Perfect small backpack. Very well manufactured, unbeatable warranty through Osprey. Lightweight, water resistant, and perfect size for a light day hike. This pack is a smaller backpack, enough to carry a light jacket plus some other knicknacks. Is not a full sized backpack. Perfect for a light hike or for exploring a foreign city. Flat pocket that sits along your back for carrying a hydration pouch or can double as a tablet or very thin notebook pocket. Smaller outer pouch with two flat pockets for additional small things. Shoulder straps are robust and comfortable. Chest and waist strap included. Chest strap buckle is also a whistle. This is actually my second Osprey Daylite, my first purchased many years ago. This is an updated version with deeper and more functional outside mesh pockets for water bottles. The "handle" between the shoulder straps is also a little closer to the pack allowing the pack to sit up a little higher on the back if desired. My first pack is still holding up great, but I passed it on to my son - it's a good size for a kid to wear and carry stuff around in. Bought a second for my other son now that he's old enough to carry his own stuff around too. I upgraded to a Daylight Plus since I wouldn't mind a little more carry space (a fantastic option if you want something just a little more roomy than the Daylight). I wouldn't mind a couple more pockets/pouches, but that's a very minor gripe.

work and play.
Light, durable - holds more than you think. Bought this for my MacBook Air. Enough room and protection. Holds enough stuff but never gets too heavy.

Quality day pack
As advertised. Worked great for multi-day trip to theme parks and keeping water off valuables. Slim design help avoid bumping into others in lines. Surprisingly large capacity considering size. Seems well made. Comfortable to wear.

Good build. Wirecutter top pick. Fits on luggage.
Nice sturdy pack with more padding for comfort on shoulder straps than most packs this size. I like the adjustable straps around the water bottle pockets. Top loop Fits snugly on handle of my carry-on luggage. Will easily fit under airplane seat. Lots of pockets. Quality zippers too. There are lighter packs but No way will this pack fall apart on the first use. Good, trustworthy brand and well designed. Will use as personal item on trips and will pack small empty handbag in carry-on.

Ordered New but Got a Used Product
I love my Osprey Day Lite so I ordered one for my husband for our anniversary. The product came in one of those Amazon bags where you know it was a repack. My heart sank because I knew immediately that it was a used backpack. There were no tags on it. If it’s a new product, there should be tags. The only reason I’m not returning it is because I wouldn’t get a new one in time for our anniversary and it does appear that the bag is still in very good condition and I couldn’t see any obvious wear. I’m just so angry to spend that much money and not get a new product. But overall, I really like this backpack because it has the hydration slot, great slippers with the sturdy loops, easy to close the top and open it, not a super heavy bag, easy to carry, looks nice, and even if you have your hydration pouch in it, it still holds a lot of stuff. (We frequently bring lunch, snacks, sunscreen, bug spray, map, and binoculars. They all fit in the various compartments.) I’m taking off a star for Amazon sending me a used product, otherwise this would’ve been a five star.

Great size for Airplane travel for under the seat.
Great pack. I use this pack in the Philippines for a month and it was awesome. I used it as my carry on and it fit under the seat with no problem on China Airlines. It’s big enough to carry all the items you need an extra change of clothes, toiletries, power banks, water and food for long flights. Or even an over nighter in the woods.

Out for the day family versatile pack
Becoming a huge fan of Osprey. We used a couple different sized packs, including this one, for our quick family Europe trip in August. This was an in between size that we liked for any of us to alternate wearing while out of the hotel for the day and wanting to easily carry extra layers, water bottles, and the various things that a 9 and 12 yr old need. Was easy to change from my husband (who is 6’1”) to me (who is 5’4”) to even one of our boys to wear for a bit. Adjustable straps pull securely snug, shoulder straps have good padding, and zippers all feel secure and sturdy. Enough pockets and areas to feel like I wasn’t just dumping things into a void, and the color is just the right amount of bright, while the fabric seems to hold up well to taxis and trains and planes and kids and dirt. Love this brand so far. Recommended!!

Very comfortable and practical little backpack
The backpack was purchased to replace an old backpack that had seen better days. I have a larger Osprey backpack and have found it to be very comfortable and well made. The new smaller osprey did not disappoint. It has a vented foam back section which is great for hot days and long hikes. The compartments are well designed and carry quite a bit of stuff for a compact backpack. The price was also a deciding factor as it is very good value for a top quality backpack - no hesitation in recommending it to other potential buyers.

A Great Carry-On / Personal Item and EDC Backpack
It's my first Osprey product purchase, and i'm impressed. It's super light made of thin nylon material, but feels durable. The waist belt doesn't seem necessary for such a small bag but i'm glad it's removable, it's nice to have the option. I like that the YKK zippers are non PU coated and the looped zipper pulls help make them easy to open and close. The combined luggage passthrough and grab handle is a different feature i've never seen before, but works as intended. My only critisism is i wish it had some lash points to hook a carabiner to.

Great little backpack!
It meets my requirements, it's held up well for the year that I've had the backpack so far, using it frequently in that time. It's reasonably comfortable even when packed rather heavily. My only gripe with it, is that I wish that it was a little bit bigger, but that's more my personal issue rather than an issue with the backpack itself. I fully recommend it, if you want a small, daily-use backpack.
