1100 Words You Need to Know

I've finally completed '1100 Words You Need to Know' after using it for a while, and I'm thrilled with the results! This book has been a game-changer for me and my family, helping us significantly increase our vocabulary in just 15 minutes a day. The structured approach and online practice made it easy to follow and retain the words. I've found it especially helpful in preparing for the TOEFL exam. The key to success, however, is consistency - you need to stick to the daily practice routine to see real progress. Ever student needs this

I start my day with completing one vocab activity. It takes about five minutes. I have had much more success with using this to prepare for the GRE than vocab flash cards. I am on week five and still am able to recall words from the first week.

Perfect for building vocabulary for standardized tests. Short daily activities for multiple exposures with relevant passages.

This is nice book who want to enhance vocabulary. I recently finished ELS 6 level. Every 25 words i didnt know about 20 of the word.

Like others said, the lessons can be confusing because grouping the words into related categories, many words in the same lesson have too similar definitions. You can use the same words to fill in many of the sentences so it's confusing trying to guess which one they want. It does get you to think about why they used that word in a particular way versus the other.

I believe that everyone should get this book. It holds very salient words and makes it easier for you to learn thanks to the exercises at the end of the chapter. It's such a good book that I completed nearly 30 weeks in 14 days and I only have 16 weeks and a few additional chapters left.

ネイティブの高校生が大学受験で覚えるレベルの単語集なのかなと思います。 半分くらいが英検１級でおなじみの単語で、残り半分は聞いたことない単語、という感じですが、小説などを読んでいると、この本で覚えた単語をよく見るので、やはり大人としては必須単語ではないでしょうか。 例文を通して覚えていけるようになっているので、とても良いです。日本人が作った日本人向けの英文ではなくて、ネイティブ向けの英文なので、よく知っている単語でも、あれ？と思うような使い方をしていることがあり、普通に読解の演習にもなります。 唯一惜しい！と思うのは、音声データがないこと。超ロングセラーらしいので、まだネットのない時代に作られたからでしょうか。使われている発音記号も日本でおなじみのものと違うので分かりづらいので、なおさらそこだけは残念です。 毎日１ページずつ読んで、日曜はお休み、というサイクルで読んでいます。前の方の単語は全然記憶に残ってなかったりするので、何周かしようと思います。

Ich liebe dieses Buch! Ich könnte es in den Himmel loben :-D Es ist einfach, sinnvoll und perfekt aufgebaut. Durch die vielen Übungen, die immer überschaubar sind, lernt man stetig neue Wörter. Man lernt dabei mit Freude und Spaß. Außerdem werden die neu erlernten Wörter im weiteren Verlauf immer wieder wiederholt (und mit Sternen gekennzeichnet), was natürlich weiters dazu beiträgt, dass die neuen Vokabel tatsächlich integriert werden.
