Bought this to replace one that we broke when trying to cut older cheese that had hardened and broke the wires. That was our error. These do a really good job at quickly making your cheese and cracker platter. (Never have used it for cutting cubes of butter, but I guess it would do okay with that, too. If you wanted to serve butter chopped into patties, like you see in restaurants? Cube would need to cold, not room temp.)

Seems to cut butter but wish it was a little longer so that the edges would not get stuck to the ends

Wife says not a sturdy product.

It's balanced so you can cut even sizes and every easy to handle.

I used it to cut into chunk cheese and I didn’t think it was that sturdy

I’ve never had one before, but i discovered the butter shouldn’t be refrigerated. It won’t cut if butter is hard.
