Well made, perfect length and it broke the tug-the-leash-with-mouth cycle!
We have a 6 month old Female Golden Retriever. She has many toys to play with including soft ones for tug-of-wars. Understandably so, she often assumed that her soft nylon leash was also a tug of war toy when she got bored on a walk.This metal chained leash immediately stopped that cycle the very first time she tried to grab it! She's smart and not once yet has she tried to tug this leash with her mouth. Fast learner and more importantly, this leash did the job!This leash is well made. The links look strong and yet, are small and light enough (we have the 4 foot length for better control of our dog) not to be heavy at all for a 1-2 miles walk.There's a lot of metal leashes available on Amazon, but, we're 100% satisfied with this one which was our first choice when we ordered it.5 Stars all around!

Eliminated My Dog’s Chewing Of His Leash
I have a pitbull that attacks the leash every time it is put on him. He chewed through two fabric leashes and could not be trained not to chew the leash. I tried sour, hot and bitter sprays with no luck. Have a friend who trains police canines attempt to curb it and when she was unsuccessful she mentioned that I should just buy a metal leash and see if it works. Purchased this one and it has greatly improved his behavior. When I put the leash on him he tries to bite it once and once is all. When he realizes it’s hard and he can’t grind it between his molars he gives up and will more easily get into the walk. Definitely more pleasant to walk him now.

Best leash money can buy
Do not waste your time buying another leash, this is the one to buy. I have used it for over a month now. I have a 7 month old, 65 lb Doberman and it helps a lot. It's long enough for dogs to be able to roam a little while walking but you can also wrap it up in your hand if you need to shorten it. The grip on the leash is amazing. The leash is very strong and sturdy and the metal has not changed colors.
