I’m really happy with this external CD/DVD drive. It was super easy to set up—just plug and play, no drivers needed. I used it to play old DVDs and install some software on my laptop, and it worked flawlessly every time. The build quality feels solid, and it’s lightweight and easy to carry. The read and write speeds are fast and quiet. Definitely a great value for the price. Highly recommended if you need a reliable optical drive!

Works great with my laptop. Love that it has 2 different types of cords. It's a slim small size so its easy to store and doesnt take up much space. Easy to use. Used for my dvds. Will work great for traveling or when the power is out. It's deffinetly worth the money.

I cannot give half stars as I’d give it really a 4.5! Great and easy product. I enjoy it allows me to use DVDs from other regions, as I was able to play discs from Japane (Region 2) with a easy switch in the properties. Half star off due to it crashing but not sure if it’s my pc or the program or even the product itself, just my own experience. Affordable and well worth it!

Easy setup just unbox, plug and play. I bought this to rip my CDs to my hard drive. It is very compact making it easy to travel without taking up space. Love the fact that the usb cord is built in, no more losing my cables. It rips cd's fast. DVD playback quality is very good. For the price its a great quality.

When I got this and opened it, I was really wondering if it was going to work or not.... It's so small and lightweight, I was absolutely shocked that it was literally plug and play! All I needed to do was add VLC player to my laptop to play a DVD for my daughter. This took me all of 3 minutes to get it setup and going. Well worth the amazing price that it is

This is much better than my previous DVD external drive. First of all, it’s much smaller than my previous one. Second, it only requires one USB port instead of two. However, it does come with an extra USB-A power cord in case it does need extra power. The instructions mention that possibly during burning you may want to use it but it might not be necessary. Three, you can use USB-A or USB-C which will come in handy as more devices are using USB-C. Fourth, it reads better than my other DVD drives. I had a DVD that I kept trying to rip but I kept getting too many errors. This DVD drive somehow was able to read the DVD. I love the way that the cords can be pushed in at the bottom to keep it very compact when storing or traveling. I never thought how nice it might be to have a carrying case, but I am likely to be using it.It didn’t require any type of set up, as soon as I plugged it into my computer it was ready to be used. So if you’re like me that’s an old timer still with DVDs around, this will be a great product.

the disk drive I used to have in my pc stopped working a few years ago and I never replaced it. (IIRC I threw my desktop, I can't remember why to save my life, honestly, no hdd at the time, only an m2 ssd so the pc works as normal, but the expensive m-disc compatible disc drive, which I was going to use for data archival and storage but never really did, stopped working correctly and I eventually removed it. Relatedly I need to clean my pc soon, thing is filthy). Anyway, I usually download ps2 roms to emulate since no disc reader. There was one I couldn't find online so I ordered this to rip the copy I have on hand (I own the vast majority of the ps2 games I emulate). It works like a charm, and I ripped a few more games while I was at it. Might rip my cd collection later too. it's been sitting unused for a few years. Oh and while the instructions for this say not to use it with a usb extension, I did because the built in lead is short, and it works fine, though my extender is blue, meaning it's usb 3.0 rated. It's a 3 or 4 foot extension.

I bought this because I wanted to be able to watch DVDs with my kids this summer. I have a lot of old school movies we had no way to watch.It was super easy to use. Just plug it into you laptop, put the dvd in and your good to go.It’s super lightweight, thin and great value for your money!!
