Heinemann Maths 1 Workbooks 1-9 Pack Product Bundle – 1 Jun. 1995

My granddaughter, age 5, is not being taught any written maths at school& was very frustrated. I am a retired primary teacher and used this scheme back in school.... It has been updated and is more colourful. It takes child through beginnings of maths in a careful and graded way. Cannot recommend highly enough, and she LOVES it. HUGE sense of fulfilment&satisfaction from her!

Great selection of books to keep the little one going at homeschool

This is an excellent product, and the workbooks dealing with addition and subtraction up to 5, 6, and 10 and very good tools for year 1. However, parents of children attending school in the UK, in Year 1, should be aware that some of these 9 workbooks are very easy to do and much more suited to the Reception children's curriculum and abilities. In specific, Workbook 1 (sorting, matching and pattern), the "Shape workbook", the biggest part of the "Measure workbook" and Workbook 4 (number to 10: relationships) deal with things that most UK children will already have dealt with in full, in Reception. That having been said, the low price of these workbooks make them an excellent revision tool for children that are a bit behind in Reception and Year 1 math, or who were very good at Reception but need some revision at the beginning of year 1 (or around year 1 Christmas vacation and October/February half term holidays).

We brought this pack as a trial to help our son catch up with his number work - What a hit! It went down a storm!

Wanted these for my grandsons during current COVID situation.Disappointed that delivery was cancelled as Amazon prioritising deliveries. Nor sure if or when I would try to reorder these.
