Great buy! Works with fairly heavier speakers!
These speaker stands are really nice and the base plate is nice and heavy and rounded and weighted so that you don't have to worry about any leaning or tipping. The assembly was super easy and these work with a variety of different types of speakers I use these with a set of Polk audio speakers.I love that you can adjust the height so easily and that they give you a couple different options of mounting.Super good product and quality made.5 of 5 overall.

Very nice addition
This could be a five star for you. Problem for me was that the mount for the speaker did not let the power cord for my LG80 rear speakers clear the pole. Fortunately, for some reason the stands also came with wall mounts(?) and I used the longer of those to complete my set up, which works fine. Almost five stars, I guess. The stand and speaker look great, and seen to be steady, but the heavy base is flat, and since I've got them on carpet, there is some slight wobble if the speaker is pushed (not a problem for me.)When looking at others, there seemed to be complaints about not being able to thread a power cord to the poles. At least this company shows in the photos that only works with speaker wire. All the parts fit perfectly, nothing was incomplete or broken. You do have to look at the parts and determine which screws you need since the company provides for a variety of speaker mountings.

Compatible with many brands
I bought these for my new Vizio surround sound speakers. They were incredibly easy to set up and customize for my brand of speakers and my living room. Different sets of hardware accommodated different speaker sizes and depths. The flat bases tuck under furniture, making them surprisingly sturdy. There are knobs to allow for different heights, and the angle can change the projection of the speakers. I feel these stands are a great value for the money.

Nice fit for behind couch application
I had just bought the VIZIO 5.1.2 sound bar system. I wanted to make sure I had no obstruction of sound and thus I purchased these stands for two reasons. First was reading others reviews and confirming their fit with a VIZIO system and can confirm the rigidity and stability of the unit, ...thank you reviewers.Second was the height, they were taller than the others I was looking at (stated at 42") and they clear my couch by about 6", which is just what I was look for. It gives me the versatility to move the satellite speakers about anywhere I want.My only cry is about these is the feed hole for the connector, not a fan of wrapping it on the outside, I wanted it as clean as I could get it. They made the bottom feed hole 1/2" W x 1" L, which was jussssst enough for my connector to fit in. BUT!...for the outlet it was only 1/2" x 1/2", this makes zero sense. Works fine if your just pulling wire, but I fed the connector.A NOTE: for feeding the tube, either drop a string down it after its together to pull the wire. Or do as I did and feed the line as your putting the pieces together. You may have to fiddle with a connector to get it to go, but it will if it fit if it goes in the bottom feeder. Also, depending how clean a look you want, put a small notch in the base of the plastic collar so it sits flush on the plate with the wire running under it.Anyways back to the review, ...I wound up taking my mini-die grinder and milling it to a 1" length to pull the connector out. Be absolutely sure you file or sand off any sharp edges so as to not cut the wire or catch your finger. You'll need to paint it after or cheat like I did and use a black magic marker for the time being.Afterward I had a great surround sound experienceHope this helps anyone who reads this and I highly recommend this unit, especially for the price. If I implement some other ideas I have, I'll update this review.

Not universal. Waste of money!
Not universal at all. Did not fit my Hisense speakers. Waste of money. Screws not even big enough and not properly labeled

Not quite universal build quality
I had a few issues with putting these together.1. The hole for the height adjustment knob on one of the stands didn't seem to be threaded correctly. The knobs would not screw into that hole properly. This made height adjustment not usable. It worked fine on the other stand. I'm now using the lowest height on both stands because that's the only option for one of the stands.2. The power cord on my speakers stick out too far and are too stiff, so I needed to tip the speakers slightly so the cord can fit past the stand. I'm fine with it, but I can imagine it could bug some people (see photos).3. My speakers have screw holes for mounting, but the holes are not the same size as the screws they say to use in the installation instructions. The correct size screws and hardware were also included, but instructoons didn't specifically state how to do it. The screws I needed to use had a smaller head than the hole in the bracket, so I needed to use an included adjustment knob as a washer/spacer to make it work. The stands feel relatively stable, despite the assembly issues.I'm still going to use these stands for now, but I would go another route if I was ordering today.
