We recently switched from a stainless steel sink to a ceramic farmhouse sink. As such needed a flange that was taller/deeper than the one that worked for the thinner stainless steel sink.This worked great and I didn’t have to fret over it cracking the nice new sink!I wish it was a little cheaper, but it definitely was cheaper than the big box stores.I actually like the strainer more than the rubber strainer that comes with the garbage disposal, that way I can just throw away the larger pieces of food.

> Design>> I mostly like how many little details of the design makes this what it is.- 1. The deep dish in itself is a good one. After using normal sized sink stainers my whole life, this deeper dish one just feels better. Especially when you're intentionally pouring something in your sink hope for the gunk to not go down the drain. The deep dish makes those moment more efficient.- 2. The effectiveness in the design of the holes caught me by surprise. Most stainers I've seen has the circle holes, but this has the line shaped holes. And it's hard to explain, but I notice that it makes this sooo much more efficient. I've noticed that they somehow just regulate better what goes into the disposal and what don't. It's hard to explain that, but I noticed I only have to dump it when absolutely needed.- 3. The deep dish also helps with more easily getting to the handle. The advertising on that is accurate, this is easier to pick up that other sink strains I've seen.These are little details. But they add up to make a product that just 'feels' better overall.> Installation:>> I can't say much on that because I already had a Garbage disposal, so I got this mostly as a replacement for my sink strain and it plugged right in with no issues. For context, my existing disposal was a normal sized one for apartments.And this sink strain AND Water Stopper plugged right in and works with no issue.> Price: It's a bit pricey for the normal person, but it's also priced fair within its own market. And this gives you a lot of value for the money you pay. Worth it, if you can afford it. (currently $33 with a minus 8% coupon at this time)> Rating: This product deserves 5-Stars. It has several little details that's convenient, and it's a good-good quality product. Lots of value for the money. Will Easily last a long time.

This adds another layer of filtering to the sink.

Love this so much more than the disgusting rubber gasket strainer that originally comes with the garbage disposal. That rubber gasket gets slimy and moldy and you have to stick your hand in it to unclog it. Yuck. This new flange/strainer/stopper is made of stainless steel and is so much easier to clean and doesn't get the moldy, slimy build-up. I love that I can lift out the strainer basket, flip it upside down and empty it directly into the garbage disposal or into my garbage can, then rinse it out and place it back in the drain quickly. The stopper is also stainless and not rubber and it works well to plug the drain and doesn't leak when you want to fill the sink up.

Looks good and solid but way overpriced and bad for vine testers for tax purposes

I ordered this because I was swapping out a kitchen sink and didn't want to reinstall the old parts. I'd never seen a garbage disposal collar with a basket like this, which is great for making sure nothing falls into the drain that shouldn't. The old drain’s black plastic plug always looked and felt like it was dirty while this new stainless one seems more sanitary. The extra length of this collar also gave more room for the dishwasher drain hose to loop back down to the disposal so water won't back up as much. I think it is what required making a slight adjustment to the drain line, so it's good if you're adding a different style of drain to the other side of the sink like I had someone do at the same time.

First and foremost, check that this Kone model is the type of extended drain flange your sink needs, then double check.This Kone kit is made of a higher grade stainless steel we all get on most of our appliances. I'm always skeptical of stainless steel claims, but this is 304 stainless steel. No worries about rusting or any of the parts getting out of shape or dented. This is strong stuff.The sink plug has a hard plastic disc with a silicone ring seal that should also last a very long time unlike the black rubber or all plastic plugs.And last is a deep strainer basket (that still allows flow) with a good size knob for removing from drain and moves smoothly. Well made product.
