Hose leaks, welding poor
As the title says, gas leaks audibly from the crimp connection on the hose, had to replace. The welding on the burner looks sloppy but haven’t tried it yet. The tooling of the threads for the burner also don’t look super clean, some burrs still on it. Overall, cheap product, probably dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing. Don’t recommend.

Updated: The flame is fine, Lava Forge replacement hose sent out for free
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: Lave Forge immediately responded, and sent out a replacement hose for free. This isI really like the fact that the parts they use to assemble the burner uses standard pipe threads, so it really helped in incorporating it into a new forge test build. Discovering the obvious, if you make the hole in the side of the forge big enough to allow the flame cone you can have flame slip around and come back out the hole, this can disrupt the smooth flow of air for the venturi -- not to mention you don't want heat around the hose line. The test flame burns were nice, see video. Luckily while I foolishly lept straight to trying it out, my son said he heard hissing and so I, belatedly, did the soapy water test that I should have done in the first place and sure enough a large leak is at the hose attachment to the high pressure valve, unfortunately I did this after the 30 day return window closed.Amazon eliminated the ability to contact the seller after 30 days so the best I could do is leave a "general feedback" comment on the storefront seller page. I'll update the review if they respond.UPDATE: Lave Forge immediately responded, and sent out a replacement hose for free. This is a very cheap price point to try out using propane. I do wish they'd offered a slightly more expensive option for the hose, e.g. the open close writing on the valve is not embossed or painted a different color making it hard to read. It'd also be nice with the more expensive hose option they included a pressure gauge so you have a hard number you could dial into to reproduce flame levels without trial and error.

Could easily start an insurance claim on a new f150
Very application specific I feel. And I have no idea what that is. I used it to make a mini furnace out of a metal bucket. (Throwback to the king of random on YouTube) Worked way better than my grandmothers hairdryer and crispy hickory bits, the flame got much hotter. I melted aluminum down real quick with it, and barely used any propane. Only complaint I really had was that I wish it came with a pressure gauge for the price. But I assume most people buying this for whatever its intended purpose was probably don’t care. It could also easily be made into a flamethrower for any really cool uncles/fathers reading this.
