DC Power Jack Plug Adapter Barrel Connector 20 Pairs 12V Male and Female 2.1 x 5.5mm for CCTV Security Camera System, LED Strip

I held off using this type of barrel connector because I didn't think they looked very professional. I've always soldered my plugs that I usually use for dc power. Well, I've been using so many lately, I thought I would give these guys a try. I'm now a big fan. They are so easy to use, the connections I've made are very reliable, and they just work great. I'm still not warming up to the look of the bulgy body, BUT it does make it easier to grip and insert/remove. If you haven't tried them yet, you should. They're cheap, but well made. Use a #1 Phillips driver!

Decent quality, but really only good up to 2.5-2.8A. Over 2.5A and there’s considerable heating of the jack body even using 20AWG silicone leads..

Great little connectors. I'm using them for everything that requires changing, or fixing connectors and my kid use them for a school project. All worked so far.

Some of them made good snug connection, some not so much. You got to be careful with the screws. At least one or two of the connectors come apart right off... No I cannot recommend. Too much inconsistency.

Bad design combination. Center pin is split, maybe ok if the center socket is a solid tube, but it isn’t. Product photo is INACCURATE. The center sockets of what I received was the “hair pin” spring shape, two points of contact. When connectors are mated then rotated, the pins and sockets catch and detent; any further rotation causes grinding and wear, evidenced by a distinct CRACKLING sound. These connectors will not last.
