Replaced the ol’ chain with this after our animals kept getting out due to lazy gate operators. It’s so easy to use, there is no reason to leave the gate open. Animals haven’t gotten out since i installed this months ago. High quality, easy to use. Perfect in every way.

Got this for parents gate, they were using a swing set chain ⛓️ and a D-Ring. Definitely a two handed operation, but not now so simple and easy to open and close. Says you can open it with one hand, absolutely and in the event that your hands tied you probably could use your teeth. It does lock 🔐, my only concern really is that for the determination of the select few up to no good, the whole thing could be defeated by a wrench set.Past though it's fantastic 👌 👏

They say in the product description that this is a livestock gate latch…I sort of wonder what kind of livestock. Raptors maybe? It's my intent to just keep a couple of cows in, so I am definitely good to go. This gate latch is extremely sturdy and well constructed. Any animals you're trying to keep in will have to break the gate before they break this latch. I don't feel like they did it justice.

I picked this up for a cedar gate I built to match my cedar fence. I had to add a pipe to the edge of the gate for this to attach to, but I was able to hide it fine and I think it'll work better by distributing the load when the latch engages. The latch looks nice and didn't require much adjustment to close well (new gates always need a little fiddling, especially wood ones). Easy to open, and I can nudge it closed with hands full. I probably won't need the lock loops, but they're there if I ever do. I like how the latch centers a little bit high to take some strain off the hinges and help keep it from sagging. I'll be using another set of these for the next gate!

This was easy to install and works great for opening and closing my gate, however it's very difficult to use a lock with this gate. Will try some other local styles but currently will have to use a chain and lock.

This is great and was easy to install. Where I messed up is my gate latched to a 4x4 so I had to remove the 4x4 and I just added a post that I have laying around with other woods and stuff left over. I love this because now my gate opens both directions. I can't believe how much better this is now. Also, my gate isn't dragging along the ground!! Changed my life; I actually enjoy going through my side gate now. I used to dread it because the lock was horrible and the gate dragged and made it very hard for me to push it open. Now I can pull it back and its perfect to open!!! :-)
