Good tool to have around. I purchased it to use while replacing a battery in a newer BMW that I didn't want to have to reprogram after battery change. Worked great!.. I've used it 4 times since then when doing battery swaps on vehicles to keep from loosing radio and ecm programming.

I couldn't see the read out because my OBD was in a reverse view ..However i could see the lights for both red and blue lite up ..(glad i decided to get this one -Thank Goodness)it was attached to a portable heavy duty charger which didn't lose any or no power duringthe time it took for me to charge my car battery in 17 hours (outside of car) ..someone said try it so i did and this does work for a prolong period of time ..(with a proper power source)Car didn't lose any memory functions -even the radio held info to all station(s) ..once i attached power i simply closed the car door and removed battery ..17 hours later after charging i'm back on the road ..

This device works as advertised. My only complaint is that the cables are not long enough to attach to another external battery or charger. Had to use jumper cables to extend the existing cables so they could reach my battery charger.

I use this every time I disconnect the battery in my car. It is equipped with clamps to attach it to a spare 12V battery and has a 5a fuse. I didn't want to maintain a spare battery so I rewired mine to a 12V power adapter that I plug into a 120V wall outlet. It's not fused, but the power adapter is only capable of putting out 6.7 amps and temporarily shuts down if anything gets shorted. Since this also reads amps, you can use it to check for parasitic draws, although it only reads out to 0.01 amps and I have no idea how accurate it is.

This product does not work, it is a lie, I bought it so that my car would not reset the battery every time I removed it and with this device it did reset, I have the proof, the manufacturer is a scammer, the seller is not to blame. This Product is Garbage, The People here giving good reviews don't know if it's being reset or not. I have an Accessport for my Subaru WRX. This article about this brand is a lie. I don't know if other brands work!
