EDITED: ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I am halfway through my sewing project, and these pieces of "fabric" are just completely falling apart. This stuff is in no way fabric. It is just giant strips of "sateen" ribbon. If you DO choose to buy this, you need to invest in the biggest, giant bottle of Fray-Lock that you can possibly get your hands on. For the first 2 days or so, the fraying was super minimal, and I thought I had a chance getting through the project with it. by day 3, I can't even pick it up without strings upon strings flying off of it. Seriously, if there was a way to just throw everything into a bag and return it, I would definitely take that route. Since it is not, I am stuck using the Fray-Lock on 3 packages worth of this crap. I would give 0 stars if I could.Definitely NOT cotton....simply put, the material is a synthetic blend of some kind. The edges absolutely fray, so be prepared to use some type of serging stitch to lock the edges in. The patterns are also not accurate. There are 20 different example pics, however I only received 11 patterns, and one of them isnt even pictured. The counts of each pattern are also skewed. I purchased 2 "rolls", 6 patterns had 16 strips, 4 patterns had 18 strips, and one pattern had 32 strips. Yes I made sure that it was the same pattern on the same background color. The strips are only 19.25", not the 20.8" that is advertised, and the width of each strip is consistent at 2.5" (thankfully). I am planning on making a quilt, however I am concerned as to how it will hold up to washing. There is a very good chance that there may be shrinkage using the dryer, so use with caution.

Loved the material and how it was lightweight! It was very easy to use I made a cute garland for my grad table at my party! The material is very soft, and functional! There are so many pieces in there that I had so many left over after I was done with my project

I got the doubled up rolls to make a rug, but it felt like only one roll. It only came as one roll. I separated the colors out and was so sad my favorite fabric only had one strip while others had 4 or 5. I knew it wouldn't be exact but still disappointed.However I do recommend if you are new to sewing and feel that choice paralysis, give this a shot

As others have mentioned, this fabric does fray easily due to its polyester nature. This said, the fabric was softer than I expected; I was genuinely worried that the roll would feel more akin to a polyester ribbon, but it was a pleasent surprise that the fabric felt more akin to cotton than not. Pieces are rather thin, though not transparent. They do work well enough for quilts.

This is not cotton but unsure of the fabric content, some sort of cheap 100% polyester perhaps. One reviewer described it like a shiny, sateen ribbon type of fabric which is a good description. The edges are not finished like satin ribbon so it frays a lot. I order the red, white & blue patriotic strips to make bunting/garland. My strips measured 2.55” x 19.75” so under 20” as seller listed. I would not purchase again as I do not like the slippery, shiny rough fabric. I do not recommend if you are looking for fabric with cotton content…this is not cotton. Considering it is a cheaper quality fabric than cotton content, I would not describe it as a good value for the money. It’s like buying 20 yards of 2 1/2 inch wide satin ribbon, but with unfinished edges that fray.
