I love this kitchen garbage can. The color is great, the sleek design is perfect for any kitchen but works really well in my small kitchen. I love the fact that the sensor to open the lid is located on the side and not the top and that it is not overly sensitive. I really dislike the sensors that are constantly going off and raising the lids everytime you walk by. This can is perfect and really helps keep a cleaner, tidying kitchen without an annoying lid that is always raising. I am going to purchase a second for my home office.

Battery dies VERY quickly. Also the sensor is too sensitive. It opens whenever someone walks by. Very annoying. Arrived missing a small soft-close pad on the rim and instead of sending me the part they wanted me to return the whole thing and they would send me a new unit. I don't want to be wasteful-the customer service agent told me the whole thing would be discarded if I returned it. There is nothing wrong with it other than the missing piece so I just kept it. Seems strange they wouldn't stock replacement parts. Wouldn't buy again.

I really had my doubts about this automatic trash receptacle. We've had this for several months and it works perfectly. Specifically, the lid. I thought as soon as the 30 day return window came and went so would the automatic lid. I was wrong. It still works well and we've had several kiddos try and abuse it to no avail. So, the true test is just time. After a year will it still work? Who knows. If I can remember I'll update the review but overall ease of use and clean look makes this a 5 star review so far. I'm still skeptical but I also believe in conspiracy theories like Mel Gibson. The lid does close a bit clunky but like I said it still opens and closes as it should. If you're looking for a soft close lid forget it. This is a bit loud but it's being used in our guest hallway bathroom so nobody is being bothered in the middle of the night. Try it you might just like it.
