Great little buckets!
Handy little buckets to use around the house on cleaning day. Different cleaners for each bucket. The smaller size makes them not so heavy when full of liquid.

So many uses, but a little pricey
I'm a little obsessed with these buckets. I've been looking for something this size and shape for a long time. I've found so many uses for them, and not one has to do with cleaning. They are a little pricey for the quality, but even still, I will probably end up buying about 20 of these buckets and finding a good use for them all because the size/shape is so unique and useful. These buckets are made of HDPE, which is a recyclable plastic. It is suitable to hold bleach, most oils, most acids, gasoline, latex and oil paints. It is also safe for food storage. HDPE will turn brittle and crack if exposed to high heat/sunlight for long periods. Here are some of the things I have used these buckets for: PAINTING: This is the reason I got these buckets. I always have multiple small paint projects going on. A roller grid and a bucket are way better to use than a messy and cumbersome paint tray, but you can't efficiently use a roller grid in a gallon paint can until it's about 1/3 full. You could do hours of painting small projects such as trim or furniture before using that much paint. There are many other issues with working for an extended time straight from the gallon can, including difficulty/messiness of stirring a full can (getting it around the rim is messy, hard to clean, makes it hard to get a good seal for storage, and harder to open next time), paint going bad faster, contaminating the paint with bits of dried paint, hair, fuzzies, etc., increasing the odds of the paint needing strained before future use. The solution is to use a smaller container, but neither a grid nor a 4" roller will fit in smaller cans. Plus, round cans are not the best shape for painting with a roller. Using these buckets, I only have to stir a full gallon of paint once per project. Once thoroughly stirred, I pour some paint into this bucket and the gallon container goes back on the shelf. This bucket is a nice squarish shape, and fit a 4" roller and grid perfectly. Its sturdy, thick handle makes it super easy to carry. Stirring paint in this bucket is easy. When you're done painting for awhile, cover the bucket with tinfoil, and the paint can stay good for days. The spout facilitates pouring leftover paint back into the original can, mess-free. Right now I am using three buckets--primer in one, and two different paint colors in the others. I LOVE these buckets for paint. GARDENING: We live on over an acre. I take my hand pruner and one of these buckets with some water in it when I check on my plants. It's perfect for holding cuttings while I continue my rounds. CLEAN UP: We recently had some construction projects going on in the yard. There are still lots of little pieces of lumber, plastic, nails, etc. laying around. We also have a dog. I sometimes take two buckets with me when I walk the yard, one for the cuttings (as mentioned above), and one lined with a grocery bag for small bits of trash and the dog's poops. I toss the bag in the outside trash can before going back into the house. WASHING THE DOG: I used to use a 2 qt. pitcher to aid in rinsing the dog, but this bucket works better and is more ergonomic. STORAGE: Because of the great size of these buckets (they fit with plenty of room to spare on my storage cabinet shelves), I want to get more to store hand tools, and all kinds of miscellaneous items. Their cost is comparable to, or less than, conventional storage bins, and they serve so many other functions. If I need another bucket, I always have spares available. FOOD STORAGE: Since HDPE is food-safe, I can use these as space-saving storage in the refrigerator. It's especially handy for grapes and other fruits/vegetables. MAKESHIFT TOOL BOX: It's easy to pick out put whatever tools, drill bits, batteries, washers, screws, caulk, tape, glue, etc. I will need for any given project in the bucket and carry those items with me instead of lugging around the drill case, the tool box, and other needed items, or make multiple trips back to the storage room for them. I have not used a bucket for this purpose, but it's a great size for food prep such as shelling peanuts, pecans, pitting cherries, peeling oranges, shelling shrimp.
