Art in the Elementary School, 5th Edition 5th Edition

As an elementary education major, this tells many things about art that are not necessarily going to be covered in the regular education classroom. However, there are some practical applications at the end of each chapter that help the information become more relevant to the regular education teacher.

Fast shipping and product was in great shape. The book itself is a must have for all new Art teachers, and a staple for the seasoned teacher's library. It is well organized and includes information on childhood development as it relates to children and the art-making/learning process. I would especially recommend this text as mandatory read for student teachers.

This book has helpful information to understand students artwork. This book is a keeper to look back at when I start teaching in the classroom.

This is not an art curriculum. This is a textbook about teaching art to children.

This is an extremely fun and informative book. It is easily understood, and great for an Art teacher, as well as teachers of other subjects who wish to incorporate more art into their classrooms. It would also be helpful to parents or homeschooling families.

I recieved the book before i expected it to arrive. I was in need of the book for classes at school.

Be aware that the paperback version is the 4th edition (copyright 1990), and is printed only in black and white. I'm disappointed that it's photos and illustrations are in B&W. You always want an "art" book to be especially visually appealing. But at the same time, I understand that cuts the cost. The information looks to be sound though.
