Taylors of Harrogate Cacao Superior Colombia Ground Coffee, 227 g, Pack of 6

They come in the same outer cardboard packaging as a supermarket would get them before they're opened and put on the shelves. I like to keep the bags in the cardboard tray as it helps with storing them neatly in the cupboard opposed to having 6 loose bags in there, one of which inevitably falls out and hits you in the face when you open the cupboard door. Not the kind of coffee wake-up I want in the morning!Opened the first bag and a strong coffee aroma hits your nose, so no concerns about freshness. You can store them in the freezer if you think 6 bags are too many to buy in one go but the rate my house goes through coffee, running out is of greater concern. If you do go the freezer route, only freeze sealed bags and open after they've come to room temperature otherwise condensation will form on the bean and ruin it (take it out the freezer the day before and it'll be fine).Halfway through my third bag in nearly as many weeks and the beans are of excellent quality, as you'd expect from Taylors. Very few were smashed or cracked, so no loss of flavour or aroma. They grind well and there's no signs of gunk on my grinder, indicating that they're properly roasted unlike some supermarket own brand beans.Once brewed, a nice coffee aroma fills the kitchen. I think my bean-to-cup machine extracts more flavour although a cafetiere makes a more than enjoyable cup of coffee as well. The end result is a smooth and strong coffee with a subtle smokey undertone that's not overpowering at all. Will definitely be ordering these on repeat for a while!

Amazon don't give much away about this coffee, so it was a blind buy based on the existing four good reviews. I like mild coffee for a chill-out and Taylor's 'Lazy Sunday' is always good, so this also labelled strength of three would be similar in mildness.The outer packaging describes this coffee as Scandi-style, inspired by the Swedish act of taking time out to enjoy a cuppa (fika). It describes the coffee as mild, toffee and hazelnut.Opening the packet and taking a deep breath of the aroma gave me a very mild and mellow coffee with acidic overtones, creamy toffee and to me, a lingering scent of nut and maca root. Anyone who's ever tried maca root powder (a health supplement) will know what I mean. To those who haven't, it's a rich, mild and slightly scorched nutty kind of taste. Maybe with some loose similarities to hazelnut as I think about it!The coffee is splendid. It's quite complex in comparison with "Lazy Sunday" as there's much more going on with the flavours in this one. I can taste a very slight fruitiness, lots of burnt toffee, nuttiness, and that lingering maca that I can smell from the unbrewed coffee grounds. The coffee is fabulously smooth and mild.It's a winner.

New favourite coffee! Just discovered this and so glad I did. Taste is what it should be from a filter machine and reminds me back in the 70s when filter coffee was not nasty very sophisticated and beautiful aroma. Caffeine is perfectly balanced for anytime of the day. I suffer with caffeine shakes headaches but not with this coffee 3. I also like the packaging blue with gold lettering a nice touch of sophistication. Top marks from me.

Great taste and 6 for £24 these are £5.75 cheapest, per pack in the supermarkets.

For me the perfect coffee to grind for my morning espresso. Very smooth, velvety coffee, with a chocolatey, nutty flavour with no bitterness or actidity. Does not have the citrus notes that some may like, but that suits me just fine. Would love to buy in single 1kg or 1.5 kg recyclable bags rather than 6x 250g plastic, but that option is not available

I bought a new coffee machine and i accidentally bought these beans thinking it was ground coffee. I decided to keep them and treat myself to a coffee grinder, making it a real experience. I am not disappointed. This is a nice rich roast and strong enough to wake me up in the mornings. It has a smoky flavour to it which comes through when you breath out. It took me a couple of goes to figure out how many scoops i needed for my preferred strength but after 2-3 attempts i got it right (i would say but everyone is different). Definitely one of my top 3 coffees so far.Overall, i nice strong coffee with smoke to it and good flavour.(When i finished this batch i bought a different flavour thinking it was beans, only to find out i ordered ground....i really need to read things properly lol).

The beans or the ground version work really well in our Delonghi coffee maker, the beans are more messy as you have to grind them yourself, but either way the taste is really good. Shame the stronger blend is no longer available.
