I got two of these to replace ones we had that were smaller and poorly insulated.Someone mentioned in a review that the tumbler didn't really hold 40 oz, so I checked that out and it does.Also there was another review that mentioned that the water she drank out of it didn't taste fresh, but we had no off tastes whatsoever. Also, others complained of leaking, which we also found to be false. Just make sure the lid is screwed on tight and the drinking hole cover is snapped shut which takes a little bit of effort when straw drinking. We found even if the tumbler, full of water, was placed on its side, hardly leaked at all from around the straw...maybe a few drops. Insulation qualities were observed to be superior. I put ice at the very bottom only up to where it starts to flare out and filled the rest with water and set it on the kitchen counter. 12 hours later just a little ice left but still super cold and at the 24 hour point, all ice was gone but water was still chilled. Love the handle and fits perfectly in your car cup holder.Super great tumbler. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Lovely tumbler, keeps my drinks cold for hours.

It doesn't keep cold water cold. At least, not without ice. After 3 hours, water in my Iron Flask bottle was as cold as just out of the refrigerator. The water temperature in this tumbler was still cool, but not what I would call cold. I don't like ice in my drinks, and I rarely have it on hand.It's not meant for hot liquids (who drinks hot coffee through a straw?), so I didn't test that. However, it DOES fit in my RAV4 tiny cupholders, and it has a great handle. And the water stays cool for several hours. It's a keeper for me just based on those qualities. At 40oz, it sits quite tall. It doesn't get in my way and still sits firmly in the cupholder.Screw-on lid with seal and silicone slit for straw makes it nearly leak proof. Just don't turn it upside down and expect not a single drop to escape from the straw! Fully Leak proof in my cursory testing. I'm happy with it.

The rubber seal tore during hand washing. I was able to replace locally. The cup keeps temperature and is not heavy

Pro's and Con's:Well made and well insulated. I have filled it with ice and liquid in the morning and there is still ice 24 hours later (inside use).This thing is huge. It will quench your big gulp thirst, but be warned you may have to be creative to get it to fit in your dishwasher.Love the screw on lid!. So tired of similar vacuum tumblers with lids that lose the seal, or are too hard or too easy to come off due to bad o-ring. This puppy screws on water tight with no worry about slippage.
