Brilliant bit of kit.
Works great. MacBook Pro 2024 to 2014 Apple LED Cinema Display. Can link the to together so double monitor or just bigger screen for laptop.

Physically like thunderbolt but works with minidisplayport
Yes - this is a minidisplayport/to-USBc adaptor. It is exactly what we needed to connect an older Apple Cinema Display (c2011) to a modern machine, and works perfectly. It is very confusing that the physical connector shape is the same as the later Thunderbolt connector, which is different, an adapter for which fits but does not work. You have been warned!

Don't confuse this with Thunderbolt. This is a Display Port adapter. Works flawlessly on my MBP connected via mini DP to DisplayPort cable
