Internal Combustion Engines, 4Ed

This book presents a very comprehensive overview of IC engines. I'm not an engineer (just someone very interested in engines) but still found the book to be very readable. Modest math knowledge would help with understanding though much can be learned without the math. Very nicely organized.

This book is must read book for Mechanical Engineering students. Well sequence maintained, good index & abbreviations and after all very well simple word description about a topic with proper 2D block diagrams.

Good knowledge of IC engines and some new info for me ...especially since it was and still is my main interest.

This book provides an in-depth knowledge about I.C. engines,you can purchase it if you're preparing for some exam where I.C. engines is a major part of the syllabus or if you want help with your Semester exams but i'd probably only suggest GATE aspirants to buy a second hand copy of the book or rent it if possible,because GATE syllabus for IC engines happens to be quite less and some coaching notes matched with the syllabus might be the right way to go,you can still give it a shot for knowledge purpose,i'll tell you what i felt great about the book: - I mainly bought this book for my semester exams and it is more than sufficient on that front,it doubles up as a great competitive guide for exams like ESE and JE also. - the book has a good mix of solved examples.unsolved problems and objective type questions so there's something for everyone there. - the ilustrations in books are quite clear and help understand the written matter better. - you can face a bit of comprehension problem because of language at some places but you can easily get over that in a few repeated readings of the text along with dictionary if need arises.

One of the best books for I. C engine subject. Mechanical engineering students should go for it.
