Although with the loop design you'd think it would be intuitive enough to put on, it is a little more complicated than it appears and had me referring back to the product pictures again and again. Once I get them in place, they offer a comfortable fit without restricting movement. The absence of specific usage guidelines is a slight drawback, but the quality construction and the support they provide make these Smart Steps Ankle Braces a reliable choice for those seeking ankle support.

These ankle wraps (and that's what they are, wraps, rather than structured braces) seem good quality and are reasonably comfortable once you're used to wearing them. But I don't think it's accurate to say "one size fits all." I'm a 5'5" woman of average weight with size 9-9.5 feet and these are way too big. Because they wrap around, yes, I can get them one, but I have to wrap them several times and they become very bulky--which in turn interferes with the shoes I can and cannot wear them with. To keep them from loosening and sagging, I also have to secure them more tightly than is really comfortable for a long period. In short, this is not a bad product, and I'll keep it on hand for backup, but if you're of medium height or shorter, I'd look elsewhere.

My son and both play volleyball alot and both have rolled/sprained our ankles. I've tried a more rigid lace brace before but both he and I always go back to (and prefer) using these kind of elastic wrap braces due to comfort and mobility and protection. They are heavy duty elastic and you can adjust the level of compression you want (mild to moderate). They can get a little bulky in your shoe, depending on how you wrap them over your ankles. If you have had a heavy break/tear/sprain, then you might need a more rigid brace that might have some extra "exoskeleton", but for mild/moderate sprains or when you are recovering, these are great to wear. I've bought a few different ankle braces with loop (usually they come just as 1 brace) so that I can put them in my bag, my son's bag, and also loan them out to other players as soon as they sprain their ankles... Was so happy these came as a pair!This has not happened to these ankle wraps yet, but if they are like my other elastic ankle wraps... ultimately, the bottom thinner loop strap gets stretched out/torn/frayed, but the wrap is still usable. Highly recommend these type of ankle wraps!

These are comfy and thin enough to wear easily with shoes. And it comes in a pair! That almost never happens and makes life so much easier for those of us with ankle issues. Mine are bad to swell up and sometimes dislocate. It helps to have the support but I have always hated wearing bulky braces. That's not a problem with these. Definitely get a pair to have on hand. I've been really pleased with my set.

I would have given these 5 stars however they did not come with instructions, and it was a littleconfusing at first on how to wrap the ankle properly. Once I quickly figured it out it was easy to put onand adjust to the compression that you desire. I was not able to wear them for long periods of time as Irealized it was not the correct product for the condition I was trying to help. Since they are long straps, Iimagine that they would adjust properly for small and large ankles. The support that they gave was niceand not bulky so you could wear them with socks over them if you choose. I can see the application forthese if you have an ankle sprain or plantar fasciitis as advertised.

When I had plantar Fasciitis I tried all kinds of options. I consider this wrap a better option than tape...it's easy to put on, it's re-usable, it's washable, you get 2 - one for each foot, or one to wear while the other is in the wash. Once wrapped, my foot still slid easily into my sneaker! It's worth a try - because as those of you with the same condition know, healing seems to take forever. That said, I suspect it may be one of those situations where healing comes in "2 weeks or 14 days - whichever comes first". (Or 6 months in this case)The straps are well made and well stitched. They look like they will hold up well. My only complaint is that there are no instructions on the package - I had to print a screenshot of their instructions from amazon's site to put into the package because I know I will forget by the time I need them again. And since I expect these to be used intermittently at best, they could really benefit from a better storage container (that included instructions.)

My son needs ankle support due to past injuries, and we have found this to be nice to keep with us for those times where he needs it. It is more durable than your standard stretch wrap and is good for travel, as it can withstand being tossed around from place to place. He was even able to use this as an emergency wrist wrap. It's great not looking for clips and being able to just grab this on our way out the door!
