Our little dog is terrified of fireworks and thunder. We tried everything, including Benadryl. Her eyes bug out, she shakes, non-stop panting, you name it. The only thing that semi-worked was riding around in the car with the air-conditioner and music going. Not fun and not 100% effective. We live near the shore, so fireworks are always going off and lots of thunder storms. Our dog has a heart condition to boot. I read about this blanket and figured we had nothing to lose. We had a thunder storm about a half-hour ago. Lots and lots of booms. We grabbed the dog, wrapped her in the blanket as soon as we heard the first one. She'd already started to shake. I couldn't believe it. She calmed down and rode out the storm snoring away. I am in total awe of this product. I'm sorry for the long story, but I just had to explain what we were up against and the amazing results from the blanket. Do not hesitate to buys this. We are calling it our miracle blanket.

To start, we purchased the Small / Medium sized blanket to test out on our dogs. Both of our dogs are about 40lbs and they LOVE this blanket.My terrier mix struggles with separation anxiety and feels the strong need to always be very close to his masters. This results in him following us throughout the house, insisting to be in bed with us and a constant craving for human contact.We've tried nearly everything (doubling his exercise, rescue remedy, dog trainers and even CBD infused treats!) and typically we see little incremental progress for our efforts. Buying this blanket was a serious WIN for my wife and I's sleeping routine.We've went from being woken up every few hours as my terrier attempts to sneak onto our bed to my terrier being happy to sleep in HIS bed at night. I can't express the value of a good nights sleep and this blanket has all of us sleeping through the night again.Product came as advertised. Material is very soft, I'd say this is easily "human-grade" material.

My Rottie is terrified of high wind. I have been using a blanket with him since he chewed through my front door. This arrived just before another windstorm. He was frantic the minute the curtain blew in.. I threw this over his shoulder and he sat there for a moment. Then he got up and went to his bed with the blanket on and lay down. He didn't move all night. Still windy today, and he is using the blanket to lay on. Peace.

It works like magic. People often spoke of these blankets for people and pets, but I was a skeptic. I was instantly proved wrong - instantly. I have an unusually sensitive large dog that is prone to muscle tension even when laying down. Immediately upon placing this on him, his facial expression relaxed and soon his body muscles did too. He wouldn't get out from under it. Even when it is warm, just partially laying it over his chest helps tremendously.Mine did not come with care instructions....

Addendums: used this for New Year fireworks in conjunction with CBD. Wrapped this around German Shepard mix and he remained calm throughout the worst of he noise. In fact he would have stayed wrapped up had another pup not pushed him out of his bed. This was huge as thunder sent him into a barking shaking mess two nights before. As before, all the dogs like to lay on this.This was purchased in anticipation of the horrors of fireworks. The pups like to lay on it and while testing, tolerated having it over them. Armed with CBD and Thundershirts we started our preparations for the night. Unfortunately, with the house closed up to decrease as much noise as possible, it was stuffy and warm. The blanket was used during the height of the noise and did seem to calm the big pup until he got too hot and got out from under it. We will have much better success with New Year Eve fireworks. I thnk, as it will be cooler.

This blanket works so amazing, for the first Fourth of July our dog was so calm we got to enjoy our Fourth of July this year ! It worked like a charm, really recommended this for your dog it has has anixeity around the Fourth of July. It was a bit expensive but it was worth not seeing our dog shake uncontrollably and not freaking out on the fourth

I debated long and hard about buying this for our dog. This is not an inexpensive item. I had it in my cart for months before finally deciding to buy it for our cross country trip in the motorhome. Since it was iffy if it would arrive in time, I had it shipped to our daughter's place along the way, so for 2 weeks we traveled without it.Or dog is a rescue dog with significant separation anxiety., juvenile onset arthritis, and food sensitivities. She lives travelling in the motorhome, but is always on "alert", rarely fully relaxed. During those two weeks, when we were parked and she was taking a nap, her eyes would almost always pop often when a truck went by, or if we moved, and would stay open until she was sure everyone was ok. This would happen over and over, sometimes every few seconds.We picked up the blanket. We were parked next to a busy road and she was laying on the couch, dozing off but on "alert" to every sound, constantly opening her eyes. I draped the blanket over her, then sat down on the opposite couch. At first she was surprised, but after a few moments she shifted to a more comfortable position, closed her eyes, and soon was keeping them closed through all the traffic sounds of trucks and cars going by with the windows wide open. She totally ignored the noise and went soundly to sleep.I have never seen her so relaxed before, and it happened so quickly. This is really so amazing.

My dog did not like it. It didn’t help her at all. Although I did wrap her in it it did not comfort her.My son has a weighted blanket so I know the benefits of it. It does help.The blankets do help with anxiety.It just didn’t do anything for my dog.
