Very pleased with this purchase. Was looking at different boards, and was a little hesitant to get a folding one, but saw this one on sale for $25 and change, saw that it has favorable reviews, and decided to take the plunge. So glad I did! Board has a nice finish, piece storage is nice with the foam cutouts, and the board lays flat when opened up. The pieces themselves are not heavy, but aren't what I would consider lightweight either, they're a good balance. The magnets hold them well to the board and the style and finish are nice also.Purchased this to teach my daughter how to play, and this really is ideal. Board is big enough to allow her to move the pieces without easily knocking into others, but the magnets hold well enough when she does. Price to value ratio is great in my opinion. I didn't have to spend a bunch to have a nice quality chess set that will hopefully give a great return on investment with the memories made! Definitely recommended.

This Chess set exceeded my expectations. It is so beautiful. I leave it set up all the time. With it's strong magnets, I play a move a day with my wife and there is no worry about pieces being moved by our 2 playful cats. The quality is top notch, you will not be disappointed. With its great price point, good looks, and sound quality, this is a purchase that I am really glad I made.

I bought this set for my boys. They are ages 9-13 and have really enjoyed it! The look and feel of this set is well made and the magnets are strong enough that the game can even be played in the car! The design and storage capacity are just as expected. This is a great set for any age to play with!

I took a star off because the board has a flaw on it that looks kinda like a blood stain. But other than that , we enjoy the size and the magnets of the pieces. Great for playing outdoors when windy. And the extra queens are a nice bonus.

This set is really beautiful! I am a Program Coordinator for children, teaching some of them the game of Chess, where others have arrived already, Chess experts. Everyone was really impressed with the set. The pieces are beautifully crafted and the magnets work well. The price point fantastic! This would also be a wonderful gift idea.
