Little Tikes Turtle Sandbox, for Boys and Girls Ages 1-6 Years

Love love love! My kids would spend every waking minute in their sand box if I let them. It’s such a fun toy but I do with it were bigger. It’s perfect for one child but small for two. It’s super functional because of the lid. We can just keep our toys in it and we know they’re safe overnight. It’s pretty durable because my kids have used it for a month now and it still looks brand new.

Kiddos absolutely love this sandbox. Great bang for your buck. Can fit 2 toddlers in it comfortably but a little small. We use it in our garage so we don’t have to worry about rain. The lid is screwed together so I don’t know how well that would keep water out. Sand also falls out through the bottom of the turtle where it comes together so that’s a little frustrating. My kids love it though.

Overall, this is a great sandbox. It holds up really well and fits about three bags of sand. Assembly was a little tricky, but manageable. It’s not very water-resistant—we had it out in the rain with the cover on, and some water still got in, so we ended up moving it under the porch. That said, it’s a solid, well-built product and perfect for outdoor play with a little extra care.

Was super excited to get this for my kiddo, but unfortunately the design of this sandbox did not allow the pieces to fit together and it was a little harder to put together than it should have been. Also, it is very small... the four "seats" don't make a lot of sense to me as maybe two kids can play in it and have just enough room. At the end of the day, it holds the sand and allows a kid to play in it. The lid did not fit on very securely either.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Remembered this product from my children's childhood and loved the fact there was a cover to protect the sand. Initially "PawPaw" had a difficult time putting together but we tag teamed and it was seamless. We used two bags of 25lb sand to start and set it in place. Best part? My 18month grandson said "WOW" when he saw it - priceless

First off directions were very good! Simple to put together but with anything plastic it takes some wiggling to make it all fit. Teather point holds the top great in windy conditions. Sturdy and took 2-50 pound bags of play sand to fill. One issue is that there is a hole in each of the 4 ‘legs’. I found wasps trying to make a nest under them. Simply covered them with duct tape so it’s an easy fix!

Watch the instructional video provided through the QR code on the accompanying pamphlet, then, don't follow it!You will save yourself tons of headaches by attaching the pieces one by one, screwing them together along the way, the video has you believing you will be able to put all of the pieces & then place the screws- not happening, nope, give that up!Unfortunately these sandboxes are not built like they used to be but it's still a fun & cute way to introduce your little one to a new way of playing, the seams aren't perfect & they'll leak sand, but it doesn't matter much because you're child will likely leak sand all over the floor playing with it anyway.This model can fit 100LBS of play sand perfectly, adding another will spill over, overall once you've gotten over the headache of putting it together, you'll be happy with your purchase.
